We should go after him and I'm sure we will. Have not seen much of Ward but I don't think he's going to make it. Bothroyd on his day is good and with Sharp pushing for the spot it's a win; win.

Agreed about Ward, but I'd start with him on Wednesday instead of stroller Bothroyd and tell him to help Keogh chase the Boggies defenders for at least the first half. Bothroyd can come on later and score the winning goal when the rest of the players are tired!

It's too early to be making such rash judgements on Ward. From what I've seen, I've been quite impressed. His workrate is immense and is great in the air. He just lacks experience at the minute and that is why Bothroyd is rightly ahead of him in the pecking order at present. He put in a particularly good display at Coventry when the rest of the team were absent. I've got high hopes for him next season.

He was fine against Luton and Ipswich as well IIRC. Ward is a good player. To be honest I would be rather more sick if we spent the money on Sharp and didn't look at our defence, three-quarters of which is either aging or probably offski in the summer.
