Without seeing him play I can categorically state that he is faster than Breen and marks better than Craddock !!

I don't know anything about Williams but from watching Football League Review, league 2 demonstrates some of the worst defending ever seen. 90% of the goals scored are down to $$$$ poor defending.

To be fair, some of the forwards in the lower divisions should be working on the space programme judging from their more wayward strikes.

How about Liam Ridgewell? Villa already have quite a few centre backs and could get another one in this summer.

Good call that or even Gary Cahill they are not going to be regulars at Vila and both would do a top job for us at the right age..

After yesterday, and this isn't a dig at anyone at Wolves, it's painfully obvious, whichever division we find ourself in, we need to find a centre back with pace. If any of the above are available, and they're any good, I'm sure The Wolves have had them checked out, and enquiries have been made.
Does anyone know what the next batch of youngsters are like defence wise? Has Little any experience at Centre Back?

Little is the only hope for a centre half from the next batch of kids. Lee Collins will be the next defender from the academy to make it but is more of a left back. He can play centre half but not as well as Little can.

having watched 6 or 7 county games this season i would say he is average.. not worth signing in my book, although i can't remember much about him but im sure there are better defenders out there

Dunno, but i do know that McCarthy was toying with the idea of playing him centre back when we were short on defenders just before xmas. I wouldn't mind seeing him in there for wednesday.

On the Ashley Williams thing, my mate at work's a big Stockport fan and although i mentioned this 'interest' on another thread i couldn't remember the defender's name. My mate says he's a big tall centre back, similar in stature to Lescott and has been their best defender this year, and my mate's pretty miffed that we might nick him!

We let in 6 at home against southampton without scoring. we gonna say that we can't keep keogh, kightly, murray et al cos if we do keep players who've been beat 6 at home, we have no ambition?
