I've never started a prediction thread.........must admit i've got a bit of a semi-on!!

2-1 to the good guys. I really think we'll do 'em.

McSheff (28)

Bothroyd (57), Keogh (88)

I'm worried about this one. We need the win so I hope for 2-1 Bothroyd for both Wolves goals. I can't see us keeping a clean sheet unless murray is between the sticks.

Very tough call - we could do an Albion (league) or a Saints. The crowd will be up for it, pressure on both sides, again I'll go for a 2-1 win. Don't care who scores!

Hate to say it and I hope I'm wrong but Blues 2-1. Keogh consolation goal. In saying that I think Stoke will draw on Sat.

Be surprised if we get much out of this one to be honest.
Mind you, I've had a bloody rotten week so I could do with a nice surprise.
That's it then, 1-0 Wolves, wholly dependent on who we have in goal.

3-3. Two teams desperate for a win, good recent scoring records, poor defenses. Should be a cracker for the neutral but not the fans.

It's Kightly against McSheffrey for me, the ego's will be running riot and i fancy Kightly taking the plaudits.

The last four games against Blooze have been draws and the two previous to that were Wolves wins.

So, given that we have a good record against them.......err.......who the hell knows! this is Wolves FFS! anything could happen.

20-04-2007, 22:21
This is really tough. Blues are very inconsistent and our defence is dire! We can score goals but are they going to out muscle us? Hmmmmmmm, I want to say a 1-0 win to us but my head says the Blues will take it.

Wolves 0 – 2 Blues.

Ulster Wolf

At last, a resounding shout that we mean business. Crowd will be up, players will be up, i think we'll do em good.

3-0; Bothroyd 2 Keogh 1.

Ulster Wolf

A rockin Molineux, a fired up Wolves team, a clean sheet for us and a resounding 3-0 win to the Wolves.

Bothroyd 2, Keogh 1.

Wolves to win 1-0, Big George win a header from a set piece.

Pengwern

Blues are good at winning ugly. I don't think we'll score against 'em. They have recovered from a bad blip & have back-to-back wins. Too many experienced players than us. We'll fight hard but we have a young team and be out-thought. 0-3.

id like to think we could muster an albion style 1-0 win but fear another home defeat coming on, not a hammering maybe 2-0, unless we are on fire then a draw will do.
those that are going look out for the touchline best nose competition between bruce and MM, i think MM wins that one

The time has come to do or die.
Without a good result tomorrow,we need a win at Leicester away last round.I ainīt gonna put my hopes on that.
Do or die.
We do.
2-1.
HI HO WOOOOLVERHAMPTON!!!

a 1-1, which after today's results would be ok.

Hatch End Wolf

I'll go with that Wardrobe. A draw really does look the most likely result.

OldWolvesfart

Past games and the bookies points to a draw a 1-0 either way.

After todays games :-

1 Sunderland 82pts
2 Derby 81pts
3 Birmingham City 80pts
4 Preston North End 71pts
5 West Bromwich Albion 70pts
6 Wolverhampton Wndrs 70pts
7 Stoke City 69pts
8 Southampton 69pts
9 Colchester United 69pts
10 Sheffield Wednesday 68pts

The pressure has been turned up again (well done Hull for that late goal).
Still think we will take it 2-1 or 3-2

head says a draw at best.

Heart says it's time we upped our performance, we've been slacking off ever since beating the boggies. Bothroyd brace will be enought to win it.

Hebburn Wolves
22-04-2007, 09:07
Wolves 1 Blues 2
Hard faught game Blues win sends them back to top and a lose keeps Wolves in the playoffs

IMHO i would rather have Derby in the playoffs over any of the other teams

wolfman27
22-04-2007, 09:26
Can't think, can't breathe.... win today says playoffs to me... a loss I reckon we'll finish 7th...

I think/hope we'll scrape a win..

Pengwern

My revised thoughts - never known such a close finish with so many involved and a game where BOTH sides have tremendous 'must-win' pressure on them. They have experience and loan players from the Prem but Prem squad players have no experience of 'do or die' games. We have young players who have less fear and a manager who tries to keep them that way by telling them to go for the equaliser or winner by bombing forward late on to get a result irrespective of the risks to our goal difference.

Today we will find out if our young players have that 'Cup tie' mentality which wins you trophies.

Too close, too much on it for both sides in a division where anyone can beat anyone on the day, so no predictions!
