View Full Version : Gyepes contract terminated The Bear 20-04-2007, 09:30 Had his contract terminated by mutual consent. Via club text. whitemouse75 20-04-2007, 09:41 shame, good player Wardrobe_Wolf 20-04-2007, 09:41 Harsh for him. Thought he was a decent player, wish him well. wolves85nb 20-04-2007, 10:03 Not a bad player... Would expect his fellow country man to follow soon aswell. WTID! 20-04-2007, 10:05 Also on the official site now: http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10307~1013809,00.html PREM.L.L 20-04-2007, 10:10 Shame that. Very promising when his passing bucked up it's ideas. Moira Stewart 20-04-2007, 10:11 It's a bit dissapointing, I think with a full pre-season under his belt he may have the chance to impress Mick. I think he's as good as any other centre half we've got at the club (although that's not saying a great deal). stuj4z 20-04-2007, 10:17 couldnt really see him fitting in with the current regime, not many foreign players here now is there? with him well though, good player cooper_J 20-04-2007, 10:18 He's a decent player, just hope he fully recovers from his injury. At lesat this means that MM will definately have to buy at least one centre half in the summer. Jamboon 20-04-2007, 10:31 I should of put money on this I said a long time ago he'd never play for the club again. Yeah. Ten points to Jamboooooooooooooon! meow mix 20-04-2007, 10:44 it seems a strange decision to me, however they maybe some underlying reason due to the injury he sustained. Axle 20-04-2007, 10:45 couldnt really see him fitting in with the current regime, not many foreign players here now is there? with him well though, good player Aren't Steven Ward and Andy Keogh 'foreign'? Olo? Murray? Gyppo was a solid player for us, I have to admit I'm a bit surprised by this. Winelord 20-04-2007, 11:03 Decent player, struck down with the legendary curse of the Wolves treatment room. RoffeyWolf 20-04-2007, 11:04 [QUOTE=Axle;384859]Aren't Steven Ward and Andy Keogh 'foreign'? Olo? Murray? Murray? QB Wolf 20-04-2007, 11:05 Did Hoddle bring him in? Oxford Wolf 20-04-2007, 11:11 [QUOTE=Axle;384859]Aren't Steven Ward and Andy Keogh 'foreign'? Olo? Murray? Murray? Nigerian ;) MobNet Wolf 20-04-2007, 11:11 Aren't Steven Ward and Andy Keogh 'foreign'? Olo? Murray? Gyppo was a solid player for us, I have to admit I'm a bit surprised by this. Yes to the first 2, but remind me how Murray is foreign. Born and raised in Lichfield wasn't he? The_Blade 20-04-2007, 11:12 I thought Gypes was excellent. Maybe he's off to the glue factory. sjonnie 20-04-2007, 11:14 it seems a strange decision to me, however they maybe some underlying reason due to the injury he sustained. Very strange given our defensive frailties - not really a surprise though given the current wage structuring policy - i.e. "you can have anyone you like Mick as long as he doesn't cost us anything". Expect to see a couple of ex-builders and a part time postie join the squad from the Limerick Sunday League over the summer Axle 20-04-2007, 11:26 Yes to the first 2, but remind me how Murray is foreign. Born and raised in Lichfield wasn't he? As oxford Wolf says, Nigerian. Bit of devilment really, but it is possible that in afew years we'll have the first and second choice Nigerian kepers in our team (Ikeme). MobNet Wolf 20-04-2007, 11:32 As oxford Wolf says, Nigerian. Bit of devilment really, but it is possible that in afew years we'll have the first and second choice Nigerian kepers in our team (Ikeme). He said on an article on WOW that he considers himself English, and that is his aim, to play for England. Axle 20-04-2007, 11:35 Agreed, but he CAN play for Nigeria. This doesn't make him foreign, but the point is where do you draw the line? Is John Barnes foreign? Michael Owen? Robbie Dennison? It's just semantics really and I was really questioning whether the above poster beliefs were correct re: the lack of 'foreign' players at Molineux. Needless to say, I don't want this to be construed as an attack on racial beliefs etc., it was just an academic point. IrchyWolf 20-04-2007, 13:04 "Is John Barnes foreign?" When he plays for England BUT then goes and takes out a JAMAICAN passport once his career is over rather than a British one, I'd say that he was. SaleWolf 20-04-2007, 14:06 Decent player but anyone with links to Hoddle is not going to be missed by me (apart from Jackie Mac should he go). Boss Hogg 20-04-2007, 14:14 Not mobile enough and lacking in pace. Good decision IMHO. Add a new pacy centre back to the wish list for next season - along with a 20 goal striker, left & right back, attacking midfielder, left midfield,............ JJ82 20-04-2007, 15:34 was a good backup player and while i hate to see decent squad players let go i think it's best for him so he can continue his rehibilitation Uncle Festa 20-04-2007, 15:55 Good decision for all concerned Marvin 20-04-2007, 17:01 Had his contract terminated by mutual consent. Via club text. Bit harsh. Surely they could have at least phoned him !!!:o Hatch End Wolf 20-04-2007, 19:39 The worst thing is, Marvin, they text him in English and he only reads Hungarian! He hasn't found out yet! wanderer24 20-04-2007, 20:27 Shame for the lad, i liked him, But sounds like he's unlikely to ever contribute to the team again. |
