suprised this hasn't popped up,

Wolves gave a trial last week to Tonbridge Angels (ryman premier league) striker Jon Main (26). Would have played in reserve friendly but it was postponed.

has scord 5 hat tricks and 37 goals this season. can't be bad.

had trials at mk dons and norwich already this season.

Star striker Main returns from trial at Wolves
Saturday, 24 March 2007
Star striker Jon Main has returned from his one week trial with Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In an interview with the Tonbridge Courier the Championship club stated that they did not believe Jon was ready for a move to the Championship, however he may be able to make the step up after a season or two at Conference & League Two level.

It was on the BBC site a few days back.

I think there was another thread about it but I can't be bothered to find it.

Bit of a non story from the E&S really, they bang on about the trial and then a few lines later say we wouldn't be following it up. Must have been a slow news day.

Still, nice to know we are looking at players from that level.

The story seems to be that we had a look at him last week but decided not to pursue the interest. It is likely though that lazy journalists have picked up the story a week late and are now reporting that he is going to play a reserve game for us. Newspaper talk.

Mick reminds of when Graham Taylor was manager and we seemed to have a trialist every week. Nothing is lost by having trialists in and shows a willingness to think outside the box (hate that phrase but couldn't think of anything else).

I know he didn't have the most distinguished Wolves career but Brians Law's was one of the most interesting and unique.
