The reason Keane will be a great manager (and he's a million miles from that now) is that he'll almost certainly follow Alex Ferguson into Old Trafford and have the resources of the largest club in the world behind him. I'd prefer to judge him in ten years time rather than on one season. He's won nothing yet !!

It is his attitude that will make him so. How many other bosses in the CCC would have left possibly the best striker out who they just spent £2 million on, because he was late for the coach? not many. He understands what makes great teams (the United class of 99) and he won't take no $$$$$ from players.

He's ot the only manager who doesn't take $$$$. Oh and the offender was a certain Roy Keane.
It is far too early to judge whether Keane will be a great manager, he hasn't even completed a full season. Great management is not just about discipline, it's about consistently being the best. At this moment in time we might as well speculate on Ince being a great manager for what he has achieved at Macclesfield ....................

Only if he doesn't become a great manager. And who can say? Was Ferguson such an obvious candidate for greatness? Will today's pampered footballers accept a Cloughie style roasting? They may have to, when economic truths kick in.

Too right. Lets not forget that Keane has been given loads of cash which is why he can leave a £2m striker at home if he wants. Ince does not have the same luxury at Macclesfield.

Funny how Keane thought it perfectly normal to "disrepect" all his team mates at Ireland during the 98 world cup, and continue slaggging them off afterwards for backing the manager at the time... he must have matured with old age..
