View Full Version : We Must Make Molineux More Intimidating!

OUR home record over the past decade has not been good enough! To get promoted, OUR team must win more regularly at Molineux! FACT!
There are many reasons why OUR team doesn't have a great home record for example, OUR strikers don't score enough goals and we make silly defensive mistakes, but given the debate that's been raging on about the South Bank and Mick McCarthy's post match comments tonight, perhaps we need to look at OURSELVES, as fans of OUR team and, once and for all, realise that it's up to US to help OUR team win more at home!
WE need to support OUR team more, WE need to make more noise and do it more consistently, WE need to support OUR young players more, WE need to put the fear of God into the opposition, not our own team!
WE mustn't shoot ourselves in the foot by turning against each other (FAN VERSUS FAN, SOUTH BANK VERSUS NORTH BANK, SOUTH BANK VERSUS MOXEY ETC) WE must make playing at Molineux a benefit of OUR team!!
Remember, it's OUR team, OUR club, OUR stadium, OUR players, OUR season, WE ARE WOLVES for Christ sake!!
IT'S UP TO US TO MAKE MOLINEUX AN INTIMIDATING PLACE, A PLACE FOR THE OPPOSING TEAMS TO FEAR, AT THE MOMENT NO TEAM FEARS US - AND THAT'S SAD! C'MOOOOON WOOOOLVES!!

The atmosphere will never be that good unless we are in the prem or top of the league.

Whitemouse - point taken but wouldn't be great if it was Molineux? We all talk about us being a special club, a big club as that's partly because we have great fans and a history most other clubs would die for! But WE could, and WE should, do more to help US achieve what WE want as fans...and that's to win more games, especially at home, and we might, just might, get into the play-offs and get back to the Premier League - and that's still possible this season!
it seems easier for the morons to follow each other and chant something pointless and pathetic that has no relevance on anything instead of trying to get behind the lads for a change.
the whole stand needs to sort itself out because its getting embarrassing

it would be great, the prem season proved how good it could be.
as for the rest of it, we've been a $$$$ club for as long as i can personally remember, so all the big club, sleeping giant crap must come from all the coffin-dodgers

Good point 'bout the Prem Season, the atmosphere was great and I think that's because WE realised that we were the underdogs and had to get behind the lads...and if you remember, the lads seemed to resond with their play even though we ended up getting...dare I say it...well you know what happened...!

I bet Moxey finds it intimidating when 6,000 south bank "fans" start chanting
Good post though

Although I'm only an occassional visitor, I think the reason Colchester have been so successful this season has been the "standard" of their stadium and support therein...

Colchester's home record is what has them in the top 10..

I bet he doesn't is right! But I wonder how the players feel and now that Mick McCarthy has said something proves he thinks WE need to be more positive with our support - so come on let's get behind OUR team....!!!!

its not just one stand... the whole ground needs to play its part..and the fanbase as a whole

It's not about that Highlander...no club in the country listens to fans in the way I think you mean...but this is about US doing what WE can to help OUR team - and that's what we should be doing, do you agree?

Erm, Ninian Park.
Ask Rio Ferdinand. When he was questioned about returning to Elland Road after joining Man U, he was asked whether he thought he would be intimidated..... he replied "It will be nothing compared to what I experience with Leeds at Ninian Park a few years back". FACT!

Nothing much you can do I guess.
When was the last season Wolves was having a good home record?
Some seasons ago I guess.
The burden of tradition is tough to carry.
Maybe next season..

Great post.
The overuse of CAPTIALS were REALLY unnecessary THOUGH...
Also any post that contains posts from a Wiggie and a Waggy can't be taken too seriously surely?

Typical and I am not taking sides here as a South Banker. We are all Wolves fans we should and in many cases are a brotherhood, calling fellow fans names does not help.
We are Wolves, how comments like this make me yearn for the days of eigties when we were all crammed in the South Bank. By the way a lot of the fans who I know in the South Bank have followed the Wolves for years , even through the "bad years".
I suspect a lot of the name callers on here are not old enough to remember those golden days.
