Seems we may have bought the wrong one...
Seriously, astonishing to think that this guy may go for less than we paid for Frankowski - makes that deal look even worse than it was!

Still feel TF could have done a job if given the right service and played in a formation that suits him. Hoddle messed him up and sadly Wolves fans are unlikely to ever see the true quality TF has/had.

I remain totally unconvinced about Frankowski.

Have to sadly agree but think of it like the Potter situation. To me Potter looked poor played out wide and although I'm still not convinced he is that great he has looked a better player of late.
Maybe TF given chance could improve as well.

i dont think MM will venture into the foreign market. He will stick with brittish-and irish-players with potential who know the english game and are not here because its the "in thing"
Everything about the Franko deal was wrong. Wrong man at the wrong age bought at the wrong time for the wrong fee playing under the wrong tactics hatched by the wrong manager.
The idea of Carl Cort out wide trying to beat a defender for pace on those well balanced legs of his, then crossing perfectly in Beckhamesque style (like he always did) for Franko to leap majestically between two 6 foot three defenders and score spectacularly was doomed from the start.
Franko so nearly scored in the cup match vs Man U. Maybe things would have been different had it gone in.

£1.4 million for a player from the second tier of a poor league. You have to question whether this transfer is worthy of investigation and follow the trail of where the money actually went and how much agents, hangers-on, etc received. And did any of the money find its way back to GH?
