I was looking at it the other night and it is the same size....it is not wider. Huff and bluff.

See for yourself tomorrow. The touchlines have not movedsmileys/smiley5.gif

How do you know? Did you measure it?

Stan Cutlass

No, the club lied...

Or course they've moved

Shergar

The technical areas seem the same size and hence the same disatnce from the touch lines.

Also, if front of us there are some water outlets, they are the same distance from the edge of the grass and also the touch line as they have been in previous years. Nothing has moved.

Email the club and tell them then

Let us know how you get on.

Dont forget the pitch was ripped up, so you've got nothing to compare it to....

That why I was saying that the water culverts are the same distance from the track..I don't think they ripped up the dugouts either????

Anyone sit in line with the touchline? or used to last season?

Markwolf

It was only about a yard either side wasnt it? The whole pitch may have 'shifted' towards the Steve Bull, hence the distance to the dugouts looking the same?

The pitch has definitely been widened. I clearly noticed it the other
night. It is much closer to the Steve Bull stand than it was.

That's maybe the case and understandable then. But are the goals now offset fromthe centre of the SC and JH stands?

By one yard, yes.

Assuming that they were central in the first place....

Maybe you should email Jez?

It's moved for certain. Means I can't see straight down the left touchline from my Stan Cullis Seat anymore smileys/smiley19.gif

Well, where I sit in the Stan Cullis the side 18 yard line (which I look down) is in the exact same place as last season.

but, I did think that the technical area looked slightly closer though,
and if it's closer to the Steve Bull as someone said, then it's been
widened each side, but not moved in any way relative to the stands.

Maybe it was the Express & Star, making things up again because they have no news? What will they lie about next?

wolvesinwales

Maybe they moved the stands too.

Have the pitch widened and then play without wingers, let's think about
that one. It's a bit like having the goals made bigger and then playing
Paul Jones in goal.

Did anyone have the brain wave to ask Jez about this top important story on WM?

This is a complicated and convaluted thread.

So I'll make this simple.

It is wider.

OK ?

No - don't argue....it IS wider.

Now stop it.

Very silly.

SOUTHBANK_BULLY

They widened the pitch by a yard on either side then got Elvis, Lord Lucan and a couple of aliens who survived Roswell to move the Steve Bull and Billy Quiet a yard each so's nobody would notice.

I thought they'd banned Elvis from the ground after he ran onto the pitch last seasonsmileys/smiley2.gif
