It's saying in a little snippet in the Mirror that Wise wants Oakes at Elland Road on loan as he only has Sullivan who's fit.

I know Hennessey's out on loan at the mo. Is Ikeme still with us or is he on loan too. Would have thought with MM's injury rate (touch wood and all that) we'd want a couple of back ups.

I though Ikeme was injured. I also think Hennessey is on instant recall. I could be wrong!!

I for one would be sad to see Oakes leave, but if i was in his place, I think I would go. He is never going to be first choice here again.

I'd like to see Oakes see out the rest of his contract at Wolves. Still think he is better than most keepers in this league. With Oakes at the club there is some peace of mind that if anything happens to Murray we have a decent replacement.

If I was Oakes though I'd be tempted. He's coming up to the end of his contract and needs to put himself in the shop window. If he goes there and does well he may get a contract with Leeds. If he doesn't get a contract out of Leeds he'll at least get some attention.

If he wants to go I don't think Wolves will stand in his way.

Not wanting to be picky but I thought King Dong was black??? Surely Moby Dick to Leeds would have been a better thread title???

I'm sure Oakes wouldn't want to be plying his trade in League One next season.

Cant see any advantage in losing an experienced Keeper when we would be in a dire position if anything happened to Murray. If they spent money on Fleming to cover one match surely it is worth the expense of covering such an important position until the end of the season.

No, he was a "porn legend" around the same time as King Dong. Although there was doubt over the authenticity of his schlong......

Leeds have just made 100K from the sale of Keogh so can't hey just hand that to Wolves and they can keep Oakes. Nothing against him but he doesn't seem part of the future.

I also think Hennessey is on instant recall.

I thought that was Schwarzenegger  :D

Oakes has always conducted himself well and has never rocked the boat, despite being dropped through no fault of his own on more than one occasion. I'd like to see him stop long enough for a testimonial but, with first team opportunities limited, and with Ikeme and Hennessey coming through, I think he owes it to himself to move elsewhere.
