Enough of all these dating pages and talk of TV etc!

Very much looking forward to tomorrow's game and hope to see a continuation of the form from the Southampton and Palace games. I think the team is playing some of the best football I have seen from a Wolves side for a long time.

As ever though, the final third is our weakness. We seem to be creating attack after attack but once the ball is in the vicinity of the goal the move breaks down, thus we are failing to kill teams off whilst we have the momentum.

If Bully in his prime was playing in this team with these players around him he would easily clear 30 goals in a season.

I thought the team improved considerably on Tuesday night with the introduction of Clarke then Ndah. I would like to see Clarke play ahead of Seol tomorrow and think when fit, an attacking trident of Clarke and Ndah backing up Cort would be very effective.

Can't see Seol being dropped, he's had a couple of poor games but his trickery and ability to beat a man is what we need against a ragbag outfit like Hull, who'll come looking for a point.

DW - using that word in association with Hull is an insult to Ragbags the world over

An interesting thing to note is that Soeul's goal the other night was
very similar to the 2 goals Vs Villa where as a low ball was put across
the box for a relatively easy tap in. Wonder if this is a factor from
the wider pitch and whether it will be a key trait to unlocking
defences at home this season?

Agree to some extent, but don't think the final third is really a problem. Last year we were amongst the highest scorers in the division, our real problem was in the defensive third. That seems to have improved greatly ( Jackie Mac not to be underestimated for this I believe) and we will soon be back banging in the goals.

Ido think that we seem to need to create far too many chances in order to score and need to be more clinical with the chances we create.

what puzzles me sp far, is that there seems to a line that onlywolves players can see. it starts at the corner flag, curves in to the centre of the pitch about 30 yards out, the arcs towards the other flag. they all seem to be afraid to make through balls, off ball runs into this area, and we are in need of a bit of penetration. hopefully this is just because both palace and saints are defensivly sound, rather than us being offensivly inept

Tomorrow will be a (supposedly) lesser team for us to come up against and I'm sure they will come to stifle the game, it will be interesting to see if the wider pitch and Hoddle's coaching have paid off to cure the problem of teams coming to Molineux with the sole ambition of stopping us playing.

I hope so because in previous seasons there have been some dire games at Molineux against smaller clubs that we're unable to break down.

Will be interesting indeed. I wonder if the crowd will be as up
for it against a lesser side, I hope discontent doesn't spread if we're
not three nil up by half time :\

Will Andrews play? Will Leon Cort play? Will Davies make the bench?
Will Clarke make the start? Will slip on shoes ever get round to
posting a preview?!

Interesting indeed...

Can anyone remember the goal Preston scored past us last season playing
the short corner to possibly Healy who was unmarked on the edge of the
box and slammed in a brilliant goal? i noticed countless times against
Palace that Ricketts was unmarked in the exact same position but Wolves
never had the awareness or creativity to do anything other than play
the ball into the mixer. Would be nice to see us come up with some
different moves from set pieces. Palace twice engineered different
freekicks which could have easily both resulted in goals.

I think a large following i should imagine Hull will bring should make for a decent atmosphere.

They've only sold 1560 according to
WOW (http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10307~698615,00.html).
Doesnt look like we've sold many either, so I'd imagine that the
atmosphere wont be great...

Suprised by that. Thought they saw themselves as a big club? Preston and Burnley both sold out when they first got promoted.

Wigan and Cardiff both bought fair sized attendances for their first
games in ages here as well as QPR and Plymouth last season. I think
most of them have been going on about the price, which in fairness at
£27 is pretty ridiculous for this level of football.

The pitch isn't wider. For all the huff and bluff in pre-season, the pitch is the same size. Have a look tomorrow.smileys/smiley2.gif

Watching the game with your eyes closed? Or go the toilet during the match? Bloke behind me said the same thing during the second half as we got a corner which we played short, the following corner was also passed short and moved around the edge of the box. Some poeple just don't want to see things.
