View Full Version : Change Of Mentality
Seems alot of the malcontents on here are spouting off about the perceived lack of a "change of mentality"!!
Seems to me that the ones that need to change their mentality are some of the posters on this messageboard!!
We've played two of the fancied teams to get automatic promotion and got four points from them. Coupled with the run from January onwards thishas seen us lose only one game in the league. Players have gained in confidence and are playing to the ability that some of them had not been able to up until Hoddle arrived.
But is this turn around good enough?? No, of course it isn't!! Already this board is populated with threads about how Hoddle is going to leave us,that we are going to lose our best player, that money is being siphoned off from the club!!!!
Get real!!! How much doom-mongering can you lot spout on here?? How about a change of mentality frrom the fans and look for some positives!! And by that I don't mean tempering your comments with a load of negatives to bring it back down again!! You know who you are!!
Disclaimer: I am not a happy clapper, but I don't see anything to moan about about apartfrom the attitude of some on here.

Great post Gri........er Basher! smileys/smiley32.gif
The pant-wetting about lack of signings from the summer has spilled over into the start of the season. I think Glenn may just realise that we're thin on the ground at the back, and we need a midfielder. In the meantime, enjoy the good football we're playing, which is better (in terms of style) than anything seen down the Mol for years.

I think some of the football in DJs first full season, with Miller and Blake up front and Kennedy on fire was better than what we are currently seeing, but the potential is there for this team to be better.

I'm very happy with things as we speak but want them so much to remain that way.
I admit i'm acting a bit like the kind of girl I generally avoid like the plague- think they're onto a good thing and do everything they can to hold on to you because of the major insecurity they have of losing you/being on their own/ending up with Tony Pulis.

SC, I am not being negative and haven't been since the day GH arrived but I am worried that any promotion challenge the club wish to put in will be hampered by having a squad lacking in depth.
Essex
Dare I say that you are delusional if you do not perceive yourself as negative!!??

When was the last time, as a Wolves supporter you were totally happy with everything?

As asked previously - which Championship teams have more strength in depth than us?

I was chuffed when DJ left and more than happy once the GH issue had been resolved.
As regards being totally happy, name me a Wolves fan who is SC?

DW, I don't care about other teams in our division but for Wolves to be succesful come the seasons end we need to be better than the rest.
At present there are, IMHO, a couple ofsides in the CCC who have squads comparable to our own.
The very fact GH keeps saying he needs more players indicates, to me at least, he is not 100% with the squad he has.

Basher you are right....and wrong. We are in a good position andmuch of the negativity is totally uncalled forbut it is vital that we push on in terms of new acquisitions because if we are unlucky on injuries (see current CB 'crisis' for details) we could be struggling to keep in the top six. We are still badly lacking in midfield and need cover for Naylor. If Gyepes does not recover quickly we need another CB fast. Time is running out and we must make a transfer market breakthrough before end August. We have to go up this season and this time nothing must be left to chance.
