Its for sale and he wants to sell it to the right people. Souness' consortium obviously wasn't right so we move on. Simple really.

It`s not for sale.
Public statement is: He will give it away to the right person for 20 mill, which is to be invested in the club. make of that what you will..

Unless Jesus Christ comes in with an offer it is starting to look like that the 'right people' might never appear.

we go back again to how many people do any of you know, who come from Wolverhampton with a spare £20 million to put into a football club! I worry, like others that Sir Jack knew no-one from Wolverhampton had that kind of money to invest but he looked good for offering the club for sale. Has Mr souness called his bluff by tabling a bid? I wish more info was coming from the Wolves board, i.e. Sir Jack or Jez but doubt they will be forthcoming!

I've never believed that the SJH version of the conditions of the club giveaway. With todays news I am begining to have more doubts.

The offer that we are led to believe is available is a bit like me buying a hotel for £20m and then the person from whom I had just purchased the hotel giving me back the £20 million (as on does) which he had just received on the condition that I invest it in the Hotel. Any subsequent profit I can keep of course and he'll want none of it:D

If something sounds too true to be good,it usually is.

Why are people so sceptical saying things like Sir Jack will never hand over? He's making sure he hands over to the right person. Who cares if we have to wait a bit longer. You same people would be moaning if he handed over to someone who, it later turned out, didnt have the clubs' best interests at heart.

Great attitude for a football club to have. One mistake and we could be set-back another 5 or 10 years. But hey, lets do something this minute and take a chance, what the hell.

Who in your opinion would be the right people ? In the interim where will you magic up the millions for your strike force.

But hey, lets do something this minute and take a chance, what the hell. Why would we necessarily be set back by five or ten years if Souness and his consortiums £20m didn't bring us success.Probably the worse that would happen is we'd be back at square one again, where we are now...Christ, wheres the adventorous spirit that made Britain great. There's too many pant wetters around for my liking.

Sir Jack has done his bit for the club and he knows it. However, does that mean he should just hand over the reigns to anyone? NO! His heart is in Wolves and he wants to make sure who ever is the next person to take this club forward is the right person to do it.

No chance he supports Man U.
Lets give SJH the benefit of the doubt that he has Wolves best intentions at heart then how do you protect the club from falling into the wrong hands?

I'm fed up with Haywards 'alleged' opinion that the club needs someone passionate about Wolves to take over the reigns.

Complete nonsense, and a contradiction with his current standing on the club needing to be self sufficient.

If you had millions and millions, would you make sure the club were self sufficient? I wouldn't. I'd chuck everything at buying the best young players the Championship and abroad have to offer in the same way Tottenham have- without necessarily guaranteeing success.

If Hayward loves the club as much as he reckons, why does he believe someone else doing the same thing will be succesful? 'Money can buy success but not if its my money or me spending it'???!!!

Is this finally an admittance that his running of the club has been an unmitigated failure?

It should be.

So.
Bleeding old gold has been a failure.
Why go down the same road again?
Did Mandric bleed pompey blue?
Does Glazer bleed Man Utd red(or tampa bay orange for that matter)
Is Randy Lerner going to bleed claret ad blue?
Why does everyone want a "fan" in charge?

Does anyone else have the feeling that all this takeover stuff is taking our focus away from what could be the most promising season since Steve Bull started scoring? I have really enjoyed watching the young kids and the cheap but effective buys start to be moulded into a good shape by a very honest manager. They all seem to care about how we do, the wage bill is well under control and our Academy is doing the business and more. Why then do we feel the need to 'invest' in useless lumps with egos the size of planets and their eye on the next big move/contract? I'm not suggesting our current crop are angelic and would die for the club or anything but it's so much better than seeing Kennedy, Anderton, Luzhny etc in the side. I for one would like to see this slow and steady evolution of the side and not have it genetically modified by signing the kind of dross we've seen in recent years. Might be better to be 'poor relations' for a bit and build a sustainable future for the club - while at the same time enabling us to get those ridiculous ticket prices down and have the 25000 at each game we should have...

None of those have been proven to be Gordon Gecko types yet (although I have my suspicions with Glazer and to a lesser extent Lerner).

Mandaric is a prize twit in my book but he isn't an asset stripper.

Who has bought into a football club and assest stripped since sky money came in?
We had Leeds/bradford overpaying stars on long contracts and going broke because of it (hence the parachute payments), but I can't think of any assest strippers for years.
I may have missed something and so could you enlighten me?
Should I fear just anyone taking over Wolves?
