Would love to hear from those that were there, and some should have got home by now. Can't see a verdict thread so here we are....

Got back about 20 mins ago.

Thoroughly enjoyable game imo, easily worth the point. Special mentions to Murray, Little, Gobern and Henry. ( And the linesman... )

First half we could have gone under but we stuck to it and really gave them a game second half, capped off with a last minute equaliser. Haven't celebrated a goal that much for a long while.

Highlights include the chav blue nose getting thrown out after 15 mins or so and the walk back to the station surrounded by Blues moaning about the offside!

Wow, what a result, I really didn't think we were going to get the equaliser but when we did the Railway End exploded. Brilliant scenes. Don't think we deserved the point to be honest- Birmingham created so many chances and we've got to be grateful that Murray played yet another blinder.

Murray- made so many important saves, commanded his area confidently and his kicking wasn't too terrible either. Definitely wouldn't have come away with a point without him. "England's number 1" chants throughout the game. 9 MOTM

Breen- thought he had a bit of a nightmare in the first half. Jerome ran him ragged and he struggled to keep up with the pace. But he was much better in the second half and I can recall at least one very important saving tackle. Not sure what happened with the incident with Larsson but Larsson stayed down for ages and the Brum fans were livid. Overall, an indifferent game. 6

Craddock- thought he was superb for the first 20 minutes, especially as Breen was struggling at the time. Bendter didn't have a sniff of the action in the first half. A good performance from our goal scoring machine captain. 8

Little- thought he did OK today. Keeps his eye on the ball at all times but he is guilty of backing off quite a lot and not going in for the kill. I'm sure he'll learn as he gets more experienced. He had a tough task today and he coped well. 6

Mulgrew- can't really remember how he played to be honest(!), went off injured in the first half.

Jones- thought he looked good at times, made some good forward runs as well. Nice to see him get a start 6.

Olifijana- oh dear. A pansy-like performance. Shirked away from challenges, seemed reluctant to get times and gave the ball away far too often. On a positive note he made plenty of forward runs and offered some much needed support for Bothroyd. That aside, terrible performance. 5

Henry- thought him and George really failed to stamp their authority in midfield. He did his usual 'cleaning up' job OK but like George he didn't seem to want the ball at times. 6

Gobern- not too sure about today's performance. Lots of hard work and enthusiasm and a couple of telling crosses but he was annoynmous for large periods of play. 6

Potter- still not convinced I'm afraid. 5

Bothroyd- I thought he did a good job today with a near impossible task. Fans were shouting insults like 'lazy $$$$' which I thought were a tad unjustified. True, he was frustrating at times- trying to win free kicks with blatant diving but he had little support at all, anybody would be frustrated. He showed moments of quality including a couple of solo runs in the box but again there was no-one to help him. Others might disagree, but I thought he did a good job today in the circumstances. 7

SUBS

Ricketts- $$$$ing awful attitude. He was brought on to give us an additional attacking element- to make some runs and try and create chances but he looked disinterested and really lazy. Was the Ricketts of old today not the Colchester/Coventry player who was so effective. He really $$$$ed me off today- didn't chase any balls and made no attempt to get into space. Big disapointment as I was desperate for his introduction as I thought he might change the game.

Edwards- did OK

Johnson- wasn't very effective.

Overall, a point that I never imagined we'd get today. Craddock scoring in front of the fans was a great moment and great celebrations at the end. I thought Brum looked very dangerous and created so many chances. It was frightening the number of counter attacks that caught us off guard and we were worrying stretched at the back. McSheffery was a potent threat and it does seem out defence have troubles coping with that sort of player.

Great result, happy days. Up the Wolves!

Nice to hear good things about Little, I think with time he's going to be a gooden.

According to WM Gobern was superb, always getting his crosses in,shooting (one scrapd the post) & beating his man for pace & skill consistently, so why does Brummywolf see it so differently & what do others who went have to say. As an ex-winger (yes, only at school) I can say that most wide players spend lots of time not involved, because you have to keep in position and 50% of the time the ball is on the other wing, so 'drifted in & out of the game' seems a bit lacking in perpective to me.

WTID!

Gobern - At half time I wanted to see him taken off, but there were others I also wanted taken off. I thought at the start it was brave of McCarthy to put so much youth on the flanks and Gobern didn't offer much. Second half started and he was a completely different player. Chased, beat his man on numerous occasions, tracked back and got in a few good crosses. I can only assume MM introduced him to Kightly at half time and showed him his replacement for next Friday night's game.

I thought Gobern played well, their no 3 did not enjoy playing against him ! I think today we were 100% better than last week and the goal late on just topped it off. We deserved a point.

Came away today chuffed at the equaliser especially as I had to meet the missus outside as she was sitting in the Tilton. I was even more chuffed at the performances of the youngsters

Murray - if you can still call him a youngster - if only we could get his kicking sorted he's a future international. Too many times were Breen and Craddock relied on to get start the attacks. Apart from that Blooze had the better chances but Mat was supreme, apparently he was all their fans were talking about.

Little - half of what could become a great right sided combination for years to come.

Gobern - fairly average first half but tore their left back to bits in the second. Fast skillfull and with two strikers to aim at the end product would have looked even better. Particularly remember on run when a drop of the shoulder sent two defenders and half the stand the wrong way.

Jones - confident, strong and great delivery. He ran all game and showed great athletisism. Tested Taylor with a Beckhamesque freekick. Couldn't see the point in his substitution.

When others put into perspective their relative inexperience, the fact that this was a derby game and the added pressure that they were being brought to shake things up they will realise exactly how well they did.

We have some real gems here that could become established players over the season and integral to the future of the team beyond it.

PS we were bleating about the ref being a homer, first words from the wife outside "The ref's a cheat". It's a game of opinions I guess!!!

What a great day. Must say the walk back to the station was less than fun and saw it kicking off quite a bit by the burger van.

Special mention must go to the steward who was in front of me when we scored. The ball went in the net and he was obviously a wolves fan, he pulled me over the barrier and was celebrating with us on the gravel track next to the pitch. LOL Top bloke

I thought Goburn was excellent 2nd half and they could just not defend against him.

Excellent result, didn't go to the game, listened on WM,Paul Franks spent the whole game talking about why we should sell Mat Murray:mad:
After all the close season turmoil and the draconian financial restrictions enforced by the clubs hierachy MM continues to work his magic.
It's great to see all the Academy lads coming through,it's what we've been crying out for in recent years.
With all that happened since Glenda cut and run i sometimes find it hard to believe just how well we're doing this season.:D

i actually tried to phone Franks to lambast him for his acting as agent for matt murray, I never got the call.

Interesting comments though, especially about Gobern as WM saw him as the one bright spot in an otherwise lacklustre performance, especially in the first half.

Great result against an in form side.

Murray, no doubt in my mind MOTM and if it wasn't for him Wolves could have been another couple of goals down by HT alone.

Little done okay but lacks experience just yet, his will come with a few more ames under his belt.

Mulgrew, not overly impressed but not in he game long enough to give a fair assessment.

Craddock, looked solid against a quality strike force and took his goal well.

Breen, not as effective as Craddock in this game for me but still gave a reasonably solid performance once he got going.

Jones, done okay.

Olifinjana, think he forgot his playing boots and he didn't, play that is. Rarely offered anything of note.

Potter, God I hope MM doesn't sign this bloke. Offered little and having played in his more favoured type position looks no better than when he was played out of position.

Henry, tried hard and made a couple of forward runs of note but he and Seyi just didn't get going.

Gobern, real live wire when he's in the game but was anonymous a great deal of the time.Has the potential to be something special for Wolves IMV but needs to make his presence felt more and for longer.

Bothroyd, worked hard and with little support/back up. Was largely ineffective but not through any lack of effort.

As for the subs, well not one of them for me made any real difference with Ricketts looking woeful which is a great shame going on his recent form.

Murray 8. I was sitting with Blouse fans and they were raving about him.
Little 6. Had a real battle with McSheffrey and got 'done' on a few occasions but had the pace to recover a lot of the time.
Craddock 8. Pick of the back 4 and he won't come up against a more gifted player than Bendter this season.
Breen 6. Couple of good interceptions but struggled with Jerome's pace and strength.
Mulgrew 5. No time.
Edwards 5. Steady enough but awful passing.
Gobern 8. Picks the ball up and runs very fast at left backs - all you can ask of a right winger.
Henry 7. Strong in the middle and even passed the ball forwards a few times.
Olafinjana 6. For a big bloke he gets pushed off the ball a lot.
Potter 5. Did he play?
Bothroyd 7. Excellent touch and strength - did his job to perfection. Another one the blouse lot were impressed with.
Ricketts 5. Did nowt really.
Johnson 6. Nobody likes pace and it caused Blues a bit of concern. Should have been on from the start instead of Potter IMO.

Nothing to add really. I thought Mulgrew looked a lot better than he did against Leeds. Let's hope it's not a serious injury.

Great day out. I almost didn't go. The $$$$er in the cap song was funny - had he been having a go at our fans?

Jones impressed you then? :D

:D Yeah he was reminiscent of a young Johann Cruyff.

Its funny I was looking at it for a while thinking something wasn't quite right...

For the record then:-

Jones 6. OK.
