Can i just make this clear, that many of us fans feel short changed by the lack of "investment" in the team this season.

can any who agree please sign this thread, those who dont agree dont post on this thread, it is not for discussion please discuss if you disagree on a separate thread thanks.

I've just edited out the ones who disagreed with you...What a wonderful late gesture.I see you also edited out my other post which I made at 17.25...I'll accept that maybe you did this accidently as there was no racist or offensive content in my post..

Just to refresh:

My post just illustrates just how unrepresentative Molineux mix is.Many posters on this board are exiles and very rarely go to games and therefore dont share the same opinions or passion of match going supporters. If you asked my question in a Wolverhampton pub I doubt if such a ratio of fans would disagree with me, probably many more would agree with me.

I put my thread up to add a bit of balance to Admistrator Bods thread seeing as he would edit out and not listen to anybody who disagreed with him. It's a shame that posters could not respect my request rather than order.

Just for the record I would hope that posters don't take either thread as some form of 'hit-list' for later use. Similarly whoever has the greater numbers does not mean that they are necessarily right in what is a subjective point.

Let me tell you why, I would have signed the other one IF we had seen financial return from the outgoing transfers. SJh mentioned today that regards the Lescott transfer we do not eceive the entire amount immediately, but that does not wash with me, that surely is true for our purchases too then!
I do not expect him to continue to financially back us, but over the last 2-3 years the annual profit has NOT been ploughed back into the club.

I do not expect him to continue to financially back us, but over the last 2-3 years the annual profit has NOT been ploughed back into the club. You make a very good point in that, just as we dont receive all the Lescott money at once, we wont have to pay any outgoing transfer fee all at once,as is standard.

If you add up all incomings and out goings and wages saved over the past few years and then are told only x amount is availble for transfers,It's no wonder questions are asked.

I don't think McCarthy is a wise investment.Mark all I ever said was,"I felt short changed by the lack of investment in the team this season". ".I just feel that after selling £7m of talent and slashing the wage bill by millions in the summer,I'm not happy with only £200,000 of this money being reinvested in the team.I know 'limited' funds are going to be made available in January, but I feel that by then that it might be too late.I suppose the next delight to look forward to after that will be our annual cocked up close season.

Signed.

The club needs investment and soon.

SJH could and is in a position to do something about the current situation but chooses not to. If it is because he doesn't want to spend/waste anymore of his own cash fair do's but this latest sale offer should have been done long ago.

Seems because he phones a radio show and says he is interested everything is rosey and okay again.

Bull$$$$.

How dare you assume that because most posters disagree with you, they don't go to as many games as you? How dare you claim to be more of a fan because you complain about something you know absolutely nothing about?

Perhaps you'd care not to just take crackpot ideas out of your head to be portrayed as facts? There are a lot of people on this board who do go to games, and a lot of people who don't. People from both sides of the spectrum disagree with you, so just accept that and don't try to make yourself look like the only real fan around here.

Its a free country he can say what he likes. And I agree with him....the majority of local fans have concerns about spending.

Even now, the E & S report that SJh will splash out his own money (in the region of £1m). I thought that was transfer money available that had been generated thru sales!!! ??? A fraction of the £6m generated. No wonder the fans get confused about finances.

'the majority of local fans'
'no wonder the fans get confused'

And what mandate do you have to speak for all local fans, or any fan other than yourself? You can't just pronounce such a judgement, because you clearly don't know for a fact that most fans of Wolves feel short changed by the investment so far (despite - may I add - the fact that it is very difficult to make big money signings when the transfer window is closed!). He has every right (as do both you and I) to say what 'we' believe. However, nobody here has the right to speak for every single fan, or a majority of fans.

And whether we live in a 'free country' (very disputable indeed) or not, that has no bearing on whether any of us would be correct to speak for others on this issue, when clearly the majority is in favour of the other side of the argument.

Ah, but if you check the first post of this thread we apparently can't challenge these generalisations. Indeed, I'm sure my challenge will eventually find itself deleted anyway.

12 out of the 46 posts are signing the 'statement'... hardly a major win eh!

I agree with the 1.5 people, there is a case for financial stability but always with an eye for potential major purchases, i.e. Sharpe & Keogh (circa 1million).

But isn't that what we are doing anyway?

Who on here knows what Mick's transfer budget is? He only had a month to actually spend any money because of the silly transfer window, had he gone out and paid real money for Potter and Wheater would we all be moaning now that he's wasted what he had to spend?

Let's see what January brings, and if Mick doesn't sign anyone, then I will presume that there was not anybody out there we could afford that would add benefit to the squad.

You have the majority on a messageboard mate, a majority made up of posters including 'Timbucktu Wolf', 'Greenland Wolf' & 'Beijing Wolf'. Sure, all probably looks rosey on Wolves World... bargain basement squad, brink of the play offs, nice Yorkshireman as a manager... lovely jubbly you probably all think. The reality is very much different, as the gates clearly prove. 6000 have'nt just disappeared because of price alone.

Spot on. It is quite clear who the 'Purple Loans' crowd are on here.

So you're above having a 'Purple Loan' coz you live in Bedfordshire?? I take it from that smug remark you think everyone on this thread are fake Burberry wearing knuckle draggers from Bilston yes?? And everyone on the other thread are local boys done good, now living down south, making $$$$ loads of money for some Blue Chip company, doing the occassional journey up the M40 in their big shiney BMW X5 to see their shrewdly assembled Wolves side stagger to 1-0 victories over Colchester safe in the knowledge that 'the business is making money'??

Compared with other forms of entertainment football is expensive but at it's best it's well worth the money. Sadly, the fare offered at Molineux is far from the best.

Best doesn't have to mean the best players; it means exciting football, played with passion and sometimes with flare. It means watching wolves beating the opposition, not 6-0 thrashings (although one or two a season wouldn't go amiss) but by out-playing them leading to a sense of relief and achievement at full time.

We haven't seen this a the Molineux for sometime, regardless of whether money is being spent or held back, regardless of whether we have an ex-england manager, a promising young one or an old hack. We don't get it with a team of experienced old pros or a team of eager young kids.

Through out all these experiments, there have only been two main constants, the fans and the senior management. Strangely, at different times, both have blamed each other. Which one is right?

Right...its because we 'charge too much' (your words).

Whats the difference between the price the club sets, and what the club charges?

I suspect that what your blindly scrabbling around for, much like a blind dog in a sewer, is the term 'value for money'.

Its ok - you dont need to thank me.
