Just to keep you all updated - still just 1 goal.
12 games into the season and Tenerife are in 11th place - 6 pts off the promotion places.
Last match was a 2:0 home defeat against the leaders and he came on after 60 mins.
Nothing to write home about basically - I don't think the club will be exercising their "option to buy" :(

To be fair he has hardly played - probably only appeared in 5 or 6 matches and not always started, having been further hampered by injury. Although certainly a shadow of his former self he remains something of a favourite of the Tenerife coach - and another of his fans is now coach of another 2nd division side so you never know.... Wolves might get something out of it in the end.

Has also hit the crossbar with a 20 yarder. Quote from radio commentator "his best game in a white shirt"

..as opposed to goals against the likes of Southend, Colchester, Burnley, QPR?
Not too much difference in my book.
Should I ever see a video of that goal, Hollo, I will post it.

what kind of goal was scored?
dunno, i heard that it was great
Today Franek, after a period of recovery from a nasty injury, scored a BEAUTIFUL goal for Tenerife. Besides, he was wonderfull in the midfield, had many brilliant passes which, unfortunately, weren't used as they should have been,by Sanchez. Anyway, Franek was the man of the match, praised even by British commentators, who used to mock him a lot before. Today they said that it was his best game they had ever seen. He was substituted in the second half and after that Tenerife lost a goal. The result was 1:1 , mailny thanks to Franek's excellent performance. Let's hope, that Franek is becoming his real self, because it's high time he showed his real potential. The main thing is, he must get good passes, not in "the air",but on "the ground". I hope you understand. Regards.

Fact is though, he couldn't score against bugg3r all when he played for us.
Let me add, it was His 150th goal ! Of course excluding the goals he scored as a junior player, in France, for instance. Quite a nice jubilee, istn't it? I'm celebrating.

Having just now seen the goal on TV I am happy to report to all MM users that this was a "proper" goal - in other words an extremely well taken effort from about 10 yards.
That was a masterpiece of a goal. I've got a link to it but I can't paste it here, do you know why?

just cut and paste the link and stick it on here. i'd be grateful.
Here's a link to Franek's excellent goal. After he'd been removed form the game, they lost one. The score was 1:1. Regards.

not bad at all. Maybe i was too harsh on the little guy. a box striker is what we are crying out for. I hope he can score 10 goals this season and maybe we can sell him for a fee.

With respect, if He scores 10 this season, I bet you'll want to keep him :))
Although I think he's too little for your ligue. However, in the Premiership there are short players, aren't there? He has potential, the only thing He needs is playing "on the ground". He's quick and smart. Anyway, that goal was very good and let's hope he's "back in the game."
blimey, hardly Marco Van Basten was it like some one here were going on about! a simple tap in from 7 yards with no defender near him! Keep him over there thanks, give us 100k in jan and get the guy off our books.
7 yards? Are you blind? Do your players score better goals? Anyway, a goal is a goal and that one was very nice.

We should sue Glenn Hoddle for £1.4m. What a disastrous investment Frankowski has proven to be. Should Moxey have vetoed it? Had he have done, wouldn’t the same people who accuse him of wasting our cash been convinced he was 'hindering' Constable Chin?

It's Spanish second ligue, just like yours, istn't it? Wolverhampton is the second ligue as well as far as I know.

Yes and do they have 7 yard lines in spanish football ??? I think it is the 18 yard line and he was quick and sharp, plus he had to be there to get it. No complaints from me if he gets his form back.
There are small players in the championship - Earnshaw for example and errrr the boy Jemal who is in the team of the week.
He didnt do well for Wolves but we have several other strikers not doing well for us either.

Should TF return to Molineux I just hope the fans don't give him a hard time.Clearly he is lacking confidence just now and knows he failed to impress at Wolves so hounding him even more will achieve nothing but more negatives.
He was a quality striker and he is going through a bad spell.Should his form return Wolves would have a forward on their hands that could still offer a great deal at CCC level for a couple of seasons.

the clip i looked at earlier in the thread was of him running into the box and tapping one in! sorry if i watched the wrong one! And yes our players do score better goals, in fact both our strikers ( JJ & Jay) have scored sreamers from outside the box this season.

I liked the guy, I think he had real quality but looked hugely short on confidence and was never going to do much jumping for long high balls.
Good luck to the guy, he never moaned or slagged the club, just got his head down and worked. Do you think someone like kenny miller or jay bothroyd/leon clarke would have done the same.
I hope he does well and then can come back and score goals for us or move on somewhere else for a fee.
Cosmo Kramer
27-11-2006, 21:43
good luck to him
a genuine bloke
whowas sadly trashed by godles man mgt and coaching
confused and lost of poland is gradually getting match fit and proving wolves wrong ... slightly
Its a shame we didnt see him play with the likes of Gobern and McIndoe in the side.
I really hope Frankowski will be good enough to be sold to another club. He has no support from the manager, teammates and, most of all, from the wolves fans. Sell him - better for him, better for wolves.

Remember the goal he missed against Watford last year, one on one with the goaly. That should have been his break. Up until then even I hoped he would do well, then it became apparent that he was going to join that ever growing list of players that we have wasted money on.
Somebody should have asked the question at the time, why were we prepared to pay £1,400,000 for a player that had been brought for £400,000 at the age of 32, by the club we bought him from. However Hoddle thought he was going to fit in with English football is beyond me, underpowered and undersized.
i'd have him back til the summer .
So would I.
To clean Leon's boots and fetch his burgers.
He needs teaching a lesson for taking our money with no end product.
Remember the goal he missed against Watford last year, one on one with the goaly.
Absolutely awful play.
I hate him.
Wow what a great bunch of so called fans, it is no suprise that this club is underperforming, its not worth to play for, poor players of this club, I feel sorry for them.

Obviously you are tarring people with the same brush.
There are a group of posters who do slag the team off.
But there is also a group that back the team.
We are rebuilting after all.

We seem to learn less about Frankowski from these updates than the personas of some of the posters.
I don't much care for Mourinho but at least he has some loyalty and patience with his own players:
