i know i work for the West Mids Police but today i thought they policed the game very well.
Me and some mates went up on the tram and we were kept apart from the albion fans from the moment we stepped off the tram at the Hawthorns until we got back off at Bilston after the game.

Yes I agree. Didn't see any trouble and thought they organised it pretty well.

The only thing I thought was funny was the tram not stopping on the way back. Which is all well and good if you're going to Wolverhampton but what if you live in Wednesbury? You might of had to go all the way to Wolverhampton just to get the tram all the way back.

The first stop it stopped at was Bilston, i asked one of the british Transport Officers but was ignored, apparently it was the decision of West Mids Travel not to stop until then.

Agreed, didn't have the misfortune of seeing many smug Sandwell faces due to the way it was policed. Anyone else notice that all the coppers on the trams were scousers?

yeah I agree it makes a change for a match to be well policed..... i was wondering myself if any one had seen any trouble...it appears that they got it spot on..credit to them

It was probably fine if you were going to Wolverhampton but if you were headed towards Birmingham there were no police and Albion fans were a$$$$st us.

Could have been better organised.

Trying to figure out what the swear filter's done there...

The only real problem I saw going in was that nice little housing estate just prior to the slope up to the ground. There was no police presence coming through there, but there was no trouble, so...

At the Tram stop, the police were from South Wales so it must have been a United Nations affair.

The only thing the police got wrong was failing to arrest Potter, Edwards and Clapham for impersonating footballers!

One of the coppers on the tram was from Manchester. Were there any Police forces that weren't involved yesterday?

the stewards in the ground were Wolves as well. Thought the whole thing was organised very well.

I was quite impressed with the coppers when i asked if we were ok to park on the metro car park. Said you are supposed to use the tram but no one will know! Also that they have more important things to deal with that day anyway.

Sounds like Plod did a good job. I was expecting a war zone so pleasantly surprised to hear all these positive reports about how well it was Policed.

Credit where it's due - hope that have the same success when Albion play Blues as there is little benefit in seeing our football region getting dragged through hooligan mud.

Think the Hawthorns is an easy ground to police though. There is no reason for large numbers of Albion fans to be down the road where the coaches park. Could see it being a bit trickier at Molineux.

Someone at work just asked if I was one of those arrested, saying that there had been arrests on the news. I heard nothing about this, or saw anything.

I got an infraction warning for using it.

Heaven knows how my delicate little ears would cope if i actually went to games ;)

not aware of any trouble at all. Unlike in Nottingham, where the trees and Brizzle City fans kicked seven bells out of each other in the streets.
