I know its a bit early but Im off on holiday from tomorrow & I just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

---------------------------Murray------------------
-------------Edwards-----------Breen--------------------Craddock : (-------Little
Johnson------------Potter----------------Olifinyana----------Ricketts --------------

--------Clarke--------------Cort----------------------

I know people will say "Ahh, we dow want to be playing strikers on the wing again" but I think Johnson worked the flank well & with Ricketts & Little working the left I reckon it could work.

Say what you like, but anyone who went Saturday will tell you Cort & especially Clarke did really well & deserve a chance on Saturday, especially against those big $$$$$$$$$$$$ Stoke centre halves who will just swallow up Bothroyd in my opinion.

I know Clarke & Cort havent got a goal between them yet but I feel Bothroyd has really struggled the last couple of games & is probably in need of a rest.

I've gone with Potter over Henry simply because I feel (or rather hope!!) Potter has a bit more to offer, although we havent seen it yet. Henry has done well so far, but we desperately need someone to mix it up a bit, create something out of nothing etc etc. Henry seems capable of doing the simple stuff OK, but little more.

The defence Im afraid, picks itself at the moment. More the pitty. (bar Little)

SO we play one of our best players on the wing in order to accomodate one of our worst up front?

Like I said, you had to have been there on Saturday to believe it. Clarke did really well.

At the moment we dont have a winger of any real decription at the club & Johnson looks like he could fill this role- temporarily.

Give Gobern another run out i reckon at some point. No way should Potter and Olofinjana play at the expense of Henry this time, especially against Stoke!!

Edwards......Craddock......Breen......Little
Ricketts.......Olofinjana.....Henry......Jones
..................Johnson.....Bothroyd..........

Subs...Ikeme, Mulgrew, Clarke, Cort, Gobern

Gobern was crap against Barnsley, I wouldn't play him against Stoke, whether he's young or not. He has to earn his place on merit.

Agreed and so was Potter, I wouldn't play either of the against Stoke.

Wouldn't play Gobern or Potter.

Leave Bothroyd and Johnson up front, replace Potter with Henry, playing Ricketts on the right of midfield and if fit bring Jones back in.

I would probably play a keeper and have 11 on the pitch! I think the 10 you have chosen are likely to be the team along with Murray.

Bothroyd looked like he couldnt be $$$$$$$*d on Saturday as he did against Derby.

I know he's top scorer & has scored 3 wonderful goals, just think he's gonna be one of these players who needs a little kick up the arse from time to time.

Clarke deserves a chance on Saturday, as much as it will kill some on here to admit.

I'd go back to the midfield from the Luton and Leeds games.
Not sure about McNamara being ready for a start either but i'd love to see him back in the team and Edwards given a go at centre half. Unlikely though i know.

.........................Murray

Little.........Edwards.......Breen.......McNamara

Potter.........Henry......Olofinjana.........Jones

................Johnson......Bothroyd

Subs: Ikeme, Craddock/Gobern, Ricketts, Cort, Clarke.

Agree that Henry should definitely start. I've said before he's the one midfielders we have that actually does his job well.

Keep Potter in midfield, and i'd give Gobern another go. When he had the ball on saturday he got some good balls in the box. Bothroyd should have scored off one great cross int he first half. Stick to Bothroyd and Johnson- they will score some goals, clarke won't.

It may only be reserve team friendlies, but Clarke is scoring in them.
Lets see if he can after goal today, and having played well last Saturday his confidence will be high lets see what he does......
We are not exactly scoring lots of goals

But our strikers are...they are not the problem, it's the lack of creativity from midfield. Clarke can start on the bench and then come on for 30 minutes in the second half.

Clarke has failed to score for the first team in an almost Frankowski-like way, one goal in how many games? You are confusing playing reasonably well by his own recent poor standards and actaully playing well.

We completely changed the way we played for the second half on Saturday, in the first half Bothroyd was going back into mid-field for the ball and Olofinjana and Ricketts made nothing of good chances that we created. When Clarke came on, we played more direct balls in behind the Barnsley defence for him to run onto. Unfortunately, the best chances fell to Ricketts and Johnson made a mess of the one good chance that came his way.

I can't remember ever thinking that Clarke was likely to score at any point.

I had to ask a bloke near to me who the lad in the middle was, I initially failed to recognise Potter.:o Those who think that Potter had a bad game must also have made the same mistake. Just to clarify, Olofinjana was the big black lad who gave the ball away, didn't make any tackles and missed a good chance. Potter is the big white lad who was actually tackling Barnsley players, passing to Wolves players and playing the through balls for Clarke to run onto.

Henry and Potter would be better than Henry and Olofinjana. Once again with Olofinjana, people are confusing being 100% better than normal with actually being a good player.

McNamara wont be figuring until the Colchester game so my team would now look like:

.........................Murray

Edwards......Craddock.....Breen.........Little

Potter........Henry......Olofinjana........Jones

................Johnson......Bothroyd

Subs: Ikeme, Mulgrew/Gobern, Ricketts, Cort, Clarke.

BILD, JB isn't fully match fit yet mate and the only way to get him fitter is for him to play. Having seen all his goals I know the impact he can make with just a few moments of class hence my view he should play.

If he doesn't make it then MM has the options of Cort or Clarke to have on the bench or Davies for that matter but I'd expect to see a massive improvement for him to start ahead of any of the others just yet.

Anyone think Finkler may deserve a place on the bench yet?
