Announcing at the moment that Keane is to be introduced to Sunderland fans as the new manager. Now I assume that most of the staff are McCarthy's squad and if they are McCarthy men how will that sit with Keane. Odds on a clear out as soon as possible which is likely to be in the next window. Interesting:eek:

The current Assistant Manager, Bobby Saxton was appointed by Niall Quinn and the reserve team coach is Kevin Richardson who joined the 'Black Cats' in 2004 after a spell with Carlton Palmer at Stockport. Richarson was formerly Sunderland's youth team coach.

Thanks for that Leeds as I did not know that however when I said staff I meant it a more general way and largely covers the players.
Interestingly I just heard on Talksport someone I think his name was Courtney who must be connected in some way to knowledge about Sunderland. He was asked about how Keane would do with this squad to which he replied not well as the squad are very poor and their position reflects their capabilities. Then when asked why McCarthy managed to get them to promotion he said because McCarthy is a very good manager and coach. High praise and let us hope it is true.
Anyone else hear this.

I didn't hear this myself. Looking at the current Sunderland squad there aren't too many players that I would take tbh. Liam Lawrence is the omly one that readily springs to mind.
