You made a bold statement about David Prutton having a medical based on statements from your 'Sky reporter' friend a few days ago and yet not a dickey bird on this anywhere. Was this the usual b/$$$$ or can you offer us something substantial to bite on. Not that I'm particularly keen on him but I suppose he would offer a bit of experience and if recovered from injury could be a useful addition.

So come on - was this all rubbish?

No I can confirm he was seen with Dennis Bergkamp and Mathieu Louis Jean at the training ground last week sharing a jacuzzi with our Jez.

Stop it right now, you know very well that there is not enough room in the tub for the four of them, for obvious reasons.

I saw him looking around Perton Ridge.

Don't be silly SOS Jez is far too busy trying to sign young and hungry players to be indulging in such frivolity. On a more serious note I understand we did make an enquiry for Thierry Henry.......in 1997.

I think if I was going to make this up, I'd come up with someone a bit more exciting than David Prutton.

Ok so if he had a medical a week ago it would not be unreasonable to think that something might have happened by now. Does your friend have any more to offer on this?

With his recent injury record. I don't think it's 'unreasonable' that something hasn't happened by now. If I'm not mistaken, Lescott's medical at Everton took a similar amount of time? No updates since my original posting I'm afraid as my friend hasn't been anywhere near the club this week.

Thanks. We will see if anything more emerges on this. I think it is a pity we missed out on Oakley, who has also had injury problems but is very effective at this level. Derby have done well to get him.

My head is suitably hung in shame. I can only apologise for having the audacity to relay some information from someone who actually saw Prutton at the club. It was remiss of me to assume that he was there for any other reason than to watch a mediocre Championship team's training session...

P.S Those Bergkamp, Perton Ridge etc. lines get better every time I hear them. They really do. No really. Honest.

I think Prutton could do a similar job to Oakley if he signs & stays fit. Joking aside, if I hear any more from my 'spy' in the camp, I'll let you know...;)

One flaw in that argument - this is Wolves that we're talking about. There's more stringent medical requirements to join the WI. :o

Is the bloke who sits in the Wolves Crows Nest Mr Magoo?? If so he needs sacking or his eyes testing.
BTW, looking at the team photo. Why is Steve Coogan's alter ego saxondale mascarading as our asst kit man??
