Spoke to a friend today who reckons a friend of his went to the training ground and was chatting to MM, Mick told him that discussions with Carsley's advisers were ongoing and he hoped we could announce something soon.
I'd love it if we signed Carsley, must admit.

a friend of a friend? hmmm
I don't think MM would disclose such info to anyone not connected to the club if talks are ongoing. I say your friend is talking bo***cks

We'll see, he's got no reason to lie to me and ive got no reason to lie to you lot, i'm just passing on what i've heard.
I think you'll find also that anyone who's been down to the training ground will confirm that MM is quite open when talking to the fans.
anyway, this is good news.

Me too Rocky, like i said just passing on what i'd heard.
I think Carsley would give us some real steel in the middle where we need it.

:D have to agree with this BUT fingers crossed its true though I do rate him as a good battling midfielder with a bit of true grit to bring into the team

Yes please to Carsley on a free or Matt Holland otherwise who is in his last year at Charlton. Then that's enough oldies. A young pacey winger and possibly another young striker now please.

I'd prefer a left winger tbh - i know he's young but gobern looked class against the villa whereas Ricketts is neither left-footed nor a out-n-out winger... maybe with clapham in the team we'll se naylor on the wing?? Although he'll need to work on his crosses...

Could we play henry and carsley together or would mccarthy drop henry to the bench.

I reckon both would play-until Davies is fit anyway.
Like some others on here,I've got a feeling Olo might come good this season. We'd then have welcome competition in midfield.

Olifinjina (spelt his name wrong) to me looked good against burton albion because he was making a lot of forward runs and looked strong on the ball. He also threatened on corners. For me, he was playing better than i've seen him in the past, saying that it was burton albion.
I'd look good against Burton Albion!!!
