You would have thought McCarthy would want to look at them in a proper match situation, I'm not sure whether we've got any reserve friendlies in the near future but I doubt we will sign them without having seen them play in some form for us.

Do either of them speak English? Sonko has spent a lot of time in Holland now so he may know the basics of the language?

Glad we didn't sign either, trialists are always dodgy, as I think you can't tell a player's full quality in 7 days, they had deadwood written all over them, were the hell do they get these guys from? I thought Carl Hoddle had left his 'head scout' role? Well done MM for not panic signing, like GH would have done!

According to the official site, he thought they looked good in training. I'm not sure I understand why he wouldn't sign players that looked good in training whilst on trial? :confused:

could be a monetary issue. After bringing in Davies maybe we didn't have money left in our salary budget? or maybe their home teams wanted to sell and not to loan, or something like that.
