Stoke Wolf

Local papers & Stoke City fan-site 'The Oatcake' is full of a report that Stoke City's attempt to take Paul Gallacher on another year-long loan have been thwarted by Wolves agreeing a fee of around £300,000 to buy Gallacher, following Wolves failure to tempt Dexter Blackstock away from Southampton.

I've looked on the Oatcake and it says nothing about Wolves going for him
This is all I can find but:

But that it is only a link to the Wolves Rivals site.
Would be pleased if it were true, Gally was good for Stoke last season, looked a class appart most of the time.

IF true it might be a decent signing. 22 years old, scored 12 for Stoke last season in 35 and 2 goals in 5 for Blackburn in the Premiership the year before.
Dont really know much about his style of play though.

i remember thinking he looked good coming through at blackburn and was suprised he ended up at stoke last season. as i recall he has a bit of pace and is quite direct.
would be another great signing, but i really doubt if this is true.
He played as a main striker for Stoke but looked like more of a second striker or someone who plays just behind the forwards.
He scored some spectacular goals from outside the box.
I think he would be an excellent signing, and if the 300k is anything like true, we would have one of the bargains of the summer !

I Know nothing about him...but i'm glad to see that MM is looking for young potentials transfers like JJ Bothroyd, Graig Davis and Carl Henry...our Henry.

The fact that the source of this rumour is one webmong from rivals leads me to believe that this won't happen.

I seem to remeber Gallagher playing as a left sided player last season, Bangoura was their main striker..
If we did sign him for 300,000 that would be a bargain. He has good movement, control and can score.
That famous formation 5-5-5.
Blimey, if they let us play 15 outfield players we'll breeze the division!
According to this he is in their plans this season

Still not sure how much he will figure, with the strikers they have there but I don't see any truth in this rumour esp for £300,000

Gallacher would be a useful signing but news source all sounds very doubtful. Has plenty of potential imv and could replace Franko who, barring miracles, I think will be on his way next January if his scoring drought continues and he loses his first team place. And remember Davies is only on loan so no guarantee he will be around in the future.

Davies has already stated that he would like to make the deal a more long term one so hopefully that will work ut a slong as he's up to the job.
