In light of the fact that we ALWAYS lose key players prior to the first match of the season. I vote we ban all pre season friendlies and use the time to practice free kicks, set pieces and corners! (Of course this would not reduce the chances of Murray doing his foot in again.)

In addition I would respectfully ask Merlin if he would please sign a decent goalie, play Naylor in some sort of attacking role... and find a new left back. I firmly believe that Nails would benefit the club and himself in a midfield role which he obviously enjoys more than sitting back defending.

Finally, as the season starter looms into sight, I would like to wish the Wolves and all the fans..especially the guys on this board who have kept me so amused during the off season..a huge amount of luck and great Wolves watching.. whether you go to every game, or are an old guy like me confined to home and the radio commentary.

This is the best time of the year nobody is top of the league and we all have our glory games to come..(here I am thinking of when we beat the Baggies home and away.) Lets give em hell Merlin!!!!!!

Its been a weird summer, and im not sure where my feelings lie with regards to this new season. :confused:

I was happy when Hoddle left, then a bit worried when Megson was linked to us, reasonably pleased with the appointment of big Mick, and a bit gutted to lose Ince. $$$$$$ed by the signing of Breen, but cheered by the signing of some young players (Jay B, Henry, Finkler and (hopefully) thingy from Verona), suprised by the departure of board members but encouraged by the arrival of the new members with strong wolves ties. Its gonna be an equally mixed season, particularly with the recent injuries to key players, but heres hoping there'll be more ups than downs. :)
