View Full Version : Catchphrases for Big Mick

Our Manager's have long had a reputation for their catchphrases and soundbites to keep the dumb football fan and journo happy, remember such classics as Jones "put in a shift" and Hoddles "put them to the sword" and "icing on the cake". As Big Mick will be busy phoning premiership managers rather than consulting the Rothmans Manager's book of catchphrases, perhaps us guys on the Mix should come up with something suitable.
To get the ball rolling how about "Just welly it" or "it was men against boys out there". Any suggestions?

From what I've heard of him so far, he is going to be a more humourous interviewee than any of our managers since Graham Taylor.
Mark McGhee, Colin Lee and Dave Jones were all quite dour and humourless to listen too whilst Glenn took himself far too seriously.
Mick seems to have quite a self-depreciating humour to him and quite dry too.
'I'm from Barnsley, not bloody Barcelona'
'Where can I get some gravy for me chips?'
'Hey this Bonks's is chuffin' great stuff'
'Fancy a pint OWEI?'
"Eh Rohan, are your trollies on right way round?"
Lancs/Yorks same difference ;)

Never mind these silly catch phrases, we need to pull up our socks, get our noses to the grind stone, and put in a hard days graft, (and that's only the first half)

Wolves have a better set up than Sunderland, the fans can leave the ground when they like and are not forced to watch the football.
