when you have gone through those sham talks with Hoddle and agreed how much to pay him for his silence perhaps you would be so kind to tell us precisely how little is available for signing players. Is it

a) zero for transfer fees but some money available for signing on fees/wages
b) zero for anything
c) three or four hundred thousand for transfer fees plus some more for wages etc
d) six or seven hundred thousandish for the 'right' players including wages etc.

What precisely did Hoddle have to play with and how much will his successor have? Precise answers please, no waffle.

I assume a is the answer. If it is b that is simply scandalous. But we need to know one way or another. 'Financial restraints' is far too vague. What does that mean in pounds shillings and euros?

Has it ever crossed your mind that it might not be in the best interests of the club to divulge that info?

VW, the club seems interested in little anymore.

Has it ever crossed your mind that at this stage it really doesn't matter any more. The whole football world knows we are not flush and scraping the barrel for frees/loans etc. I just wonder whether Hoddle's expectations were just ridiculous in the light of what he knew would be a belt-tightening season or whether he really was given nothing to play with and therefore saw no point in going on. Of course the club will tell us nothing precisely but there is no harm in asking them to outline a bit more clearly what the financial restraints really amount to.

Thats the whole point though - the whole footballing world currently knows that, unlike the past, they cant just add an extra zero onto any trasnfer fee, safe in the knowledge that we're big-spending WOlves and SJH will just get his chequebook out.

If we *do* have money (and i, for one, dont think we do) then why should we give up the luxury of being in a position to drive a hard bargain?

VW, have you forgoten the Lescott sale already?

If so seems you have the same problem as the Molineux hierarchy.:D

So you dont think getting 5m quid for a player who recently missed 12 months with dodgy knees and has never played at the top level wasnt a good deal?

Actually, dont answer that - I know the answer already, you depressing $$$$er.

You clown. Talk about make yourself look a total fool. Well done VW:D Best laugh I've had from a waster like you in ages. WTF did I say getting £5 million for Lescott wasn't a good deal? I didn't did I but it won't stop you trying to twist what's said and put down something totally incorrect. You arrogant waster, you contradicte yourself when failing to even read what's said and have the nerve to accuse me of thickness, oh the irony. Read the question again idiot.

One minute you post you think there's no money and then in your post above you mention £5 million for Lescott. FFS talk about limited memory span.

Oh and your use of the English language is worse than mine.

VW posted "So you dont think getting 5m quid for a player who recently missed 12 months with dodgy knees and has never played at the top level wasnt a good deal?"

Double negative idiot.

Essex, £5m - £10m = -£5m. Selling Lescott doesn't mean we have money to spend.

DW, did the club not say that our better players did not have to be sold and that GH had a budget, albeit small, even before Lescott left? They did I believe.

The wages budget has been reduced about £3.5 million and the club have again had reasonable ST sales all things considered.

However my point was that VW says one thing and then contradictes himself almost immediately.

You mean like slating a manager, then watching him get us promoted, then issuing a grovelling apology? Is that the sort of u-turn you had in mind?

Festa ..don't spoil this with the truth. Lets say Moxey pocketed the £5m and is telling us lies about having no money ... its more entertaining.

Why bring up an issue over a manager who hasn't been anything to do with Wolves for well over a season?

DJ deserved slating for his poor signings, waste of large funds and inabilities.

My views re DJ as an individual and outside of football are nothig to do with my views on him as a manager.

Now accept you messed up and stop acting lke a child FFS.

Did you know that Moxey spent the 5 million on shares on a pie company? FACT.
