It was quite obvious he couldn’t be appointed last time – but things have moved on since then. After an ill-fated spell at Nottingham Forest he is available again. I wouldn’t be surprised if it crossed Moxey's mind.

If he hadn't completely $$$$ed up at Forest then I wouldn't have minded him coming here. I always felt he did a great job at Albion, especially bouncing back from relegation so quickly.
But everything was in place for him to succeed at Forest: they were still getting 20,000+ fans every match and he was given a fair bit of money to spend- I'm sure he spent over 500k for Dobie and at least 100k on David Friio. Even players like Gareth Taylor- he should have got a lot more of out him at League 1 level. He completely lost the dressing room towards the end.
I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

no no no. look how he failed dismally at forest, he is yesterdays man.
yes he worked wonders with albion but that seems like a fluke. if he was considered then the crouds would not start picking up again.

It WAS a fluke at Albion when you look at his record before then - it was a big suprise when he was appointed by them because he had not been successful at that time.

you'd have thought that his name will be on the short list, although considering the current relationship between wolves and their fans,it is probably too much of a risk for moxey and haywatd to take.if it went tits up with megson in charge it would be a massive disaster for them. the safer and more popular option is ince.

Gary Megson, it could be argued, was a better manager than Dave Jones ( the most successful of our recent incumbents ). When Albion got relegated they went straight back up. Had we been able to do that we wouldn’t be in the position we are now.

Was happy to have him before we gave Hoddle the job. Loads to prove now after his disastrous spell at Forest and we can do better.

Yes you are right.He was doing well at stoke,crowd loved him and the players,he was going a similar way to what he finally achieved at albion.
Before that though Blackpool hated him and he was lucky to escape with his life:D
