View Full Version : How many points will we get?
I can see us having a fantastic season with the kids breathing new life into the team and Hoddle at last getting the formation right. We will get 89 points IMV and that should be enough for promotion.

Can I suggest a good psychiatrist friend of mine.........
Your optimism is marvellous but unless the club speedily makes at least four astute signings in key positions by the commencement of the season we could struggle badly, particularly if we are unlucky with injuries. Mid table at best imv barring those brilliant signings (and that does not mean expensive signings). Judging from past close seasons' performance and our pretty useless track record in the transfer market generally it is hard to see us getting hold of the few good young players that might be available when we are competing with bottom half Prem and richer Championship clubs who are showing real ambition. I see a last minute Bjorklund or two panic buy coming on...... as one by one supposed 'targets' land up elsewhere. As always hope the club prove me wrong.

My head says 60ish and my heart says 75ish. But unless we bring in new players there is no chance we will be touching the playoffs.

45 max.
Take a look at the first-team squad list on the official site. If Kennedy and Seol leave as expected, Hoddle will have to choose 11 out of 13 fit players with any experience. With a couple of injuries we won't be able to produce a matchday squad of 16.

For a "team in transition" this would be fine.

Oh God, Grinder's started again...
Who gave Watford any chance of promotion after flirting with relegation the previous season?

Question is how many before and after Hoddle leaves.
52 if we stay injury free; if on the other hand we pick up a few injuries, kennedy, seol and ince are not here and we dont sign adequete cover then we could very well end up with 34 points and we know what that would mean.
Stupid question until we know who will be at the Mol next season. I hear Ronaldhino might be coming and bringing a couple of mates!

With only one or two signings (thats me being positive) and an injury free season from the remaining key player(s) (if they are still with us) then I can see us getting points in the late fifties early sixties, finishing 9th and finishing below at least one of the promoted teams and all the relegated teams.
Finiding it very hard to be happy about being a Wolves fan these days. Now the money has gone and no one wants to be here then we are relying on the kids. I don't think one year is enough to get that going.
