View Full Version : Midlands Shocker - Wolves Player in Display of Aggression on The Pitch
From The BBC
Teenage striker Theo Walcott insists he has a competitive streak that has helped his dramatic rise to prominance.
Despite his slight frame, the World Cup-bound 17-year-old insists he is always happy to battle for possession.
"Physically, I don't go for challenges that much, I'm not one of those sorts of players," he told the Guardian. "But when I was being kicked by a Wolves right-back I went straight back at him. And I will always challenge for a header - I've got a good spring."
I hope Glenda knows about this rough display from one of our own. Looked to me like they'd all given up :D

Poor baby. Lucky he did not come up against Muscat.

Didnt Jackie give him a few whacks on his debut?
McNamara played right-back down there, and Edwards in the game at Molineux, so it's probably JM he means!

I remember him getting a whack from Lescott at the Mol...after which he vanished from the game.....this is what worries me about Walcott, one hard challenge and I will not be surprised his effectiveness to become very limited.

I also seem to remember reading of a reserve game where our RB had him in his pocket. Could have been Little.

that's right, that's why Walcott is ging to the WC and our RB doesn't even have a name....MMers you're as delusional as ever with the "we're a laughting stock for a big club" and "our RB had Walcott in his pocket" and "the hotel manager knew our history and not Spurs'" and neverending posts on Willie McKay like Camara happened yesterday not 1 full season ago.....wake up losers, we'll be fighting the likes of Cardiff, Colchester, Southend and QPR for positions next season. Totally in cloud cuckoo land all a youz

i dont know what point you are trying to make DS but most people on here accept what is going to happen next season and are prepared for it.
the thing is, little made walcott look very average in that game, fact.
walcott has done nothing to sufficiently impress me that he is the wonder kid that everyone is making him out to be.
yes he scored some great goals at southampton but lee naylor has scored some crackers in his time but that doesnt make him a genius.

Walcott is just potential. He has done nothing to warrant his inclusion so it is just one massive gamble including him at the expense of say Bent or one of the more deserving forwards. Think back to the many prospects who were supposed to take the world by storm eg Pennant, Bywater and our own Nardiello.

yep - we'd had the whole game, walcott came on, and suddenly soton looked totally different. walcott easily had the beating of JM for pace, so JM did what all good defenders should and absolutly clattered him a couple of times. walcott then kept on cutting inside and looked less of a danger.
