Think on. If you think Moxey's bad, we could have this patronising, egotistical tw*t running our club.

Jez wasn't presiding over a club which had been in the top flight for 27 consecutive years, and was in the FA Cup Final two years previously. Jez also hasn't appointed two managers who've lasted less than six months.

It's far too early on a Saturday morning for me to recognise the nuances of a fishing trip. And I really dislike Rupert Lowe.

Poole Wolf

I wouldn't knock it completely. They are trying to 'grow their own' so to speak and that to me seems to be the only way to compete with the Chelsea, Man U's and London clubs in general.

Woodward is interesting because I think he got a lot of his Rugby ideas from fopotball. He is a manager/organiser not a coach so I see him taking over from 'arry at some stage and getting a top (probably) European technical football coach in.

He has already been to Brazil and studied that version of street football they play which improves control and movement.

Remember howgood in goal Schmeichel was after playing that Danich game. Thats where he developed the'star' jump way of stopping shots.

There is no end ever to learning.

Mind you I am still quitely pleased that Lowe's first choice for coach would have been our Glenn.

But would you be happy with Lowe running your club, Poole? Think of the way they were playing under Hoddle, and how they've got progressively worse under Gray, Strachan, Sturrock, Wigley and Arry (though he was always fighting a losing battle). And look who employed those managers.

They were in a position of safety when got there, why was he always fighting a losing battle?

I am not a fan in any way of Lowe and I can't stand Southampton at all (especially living down here) but there were one or two salient points in the article. So I would knock him but not the article in the Guardian. In fact I hope they go down another division. I have never forgiven them for that 9-3. Even had a bloody Saints fan in my class at school at Compton Rd Grammar at the time - Mick Cartlidge who really rubbed it in.

I think Lowe is an absolute abomination. Long may he hold the reigns at Southampton!

Deutsch Wolf

I read it a slightly different way. It seems that having plunged Southampton into the mire, he's gambling the club's future on one of his rugger mates (who's had a far from successful assignment recently) and the provisional success of the youth team, who, though undeniably talented, only beat our kids on penalties.

He is now an injury waiting to happen. Pompey wanted rid because at any time his knee will give in and will need a serious op.
