I'm not sure whether this warrants a thread of it's own but can anyone help me out with season ticket numbers? I live in Colchester now and go to more southern away than home games.
I'd love to go with my brother to Norwich away, I lived there for a couple of years and can't stand them, mainly because of their irrational dislike of us. I remember celebrating like a mad man in one of their pubs after the 2-2 a few years back before I realised how much they weirdly despise us!

Got admit I'm not going for once

Mainly as can't be arsed traveling entire country to a ground every time I've gone we've lost!

I hope I'm sat at home during game thinking "I wish I went this is great result"

Cheers woop, I promise not to invade the pitch or try to sneak in a hatchet, flare or small child. I'll PM you now if I can work out how to do it.

I've lived in Norfolk all my life and share your disdain for them! Their decision to hate us because one player made a shocking tackle on theirs is the most bizarre I've ever heard, and they're just generally irritating I find :D Looking forward to it.

They're funny buggers aren't they. I know Norwich is a fair trek from other league clubs but surely there are less likeable clubs out there than ours?! (Might I suggest Chelsea, Leeds and Cardiff).
Does the GY in GY Wolf refer to Great Yarmouth then? I worked at Northgate Hospital for 3 years and lived in Gorleston for a while... I always thought Yarmouth was like how Bilston would be if it had a beach!

For those who are going where are you drinking? Those of us travelling up so far are likely heading towards the Complete Angler or Coach and Horses.

:D Bilston with a beach, that's funny, and accurate. It does stand for Great Yarmouth but only as I was studying at the Sixth Form College in Gorleston at the time.. On reflection I could have chosen a better name haha.

Back to the main topic I'm sure the tickets will make it to general sale, and will probably (hopefully) sell the 1,500 allocation.

Compleat Angler is the most popular away pub so will be in there at some stage but there are a lot of nice pubs with good local ales in the cathedral/tomblands area, doubt you'd get any trouble in any.

A good result/performance against Villa should see them go for sure but if not think those who want to go should be okay.

Drank in there in the past GY and certainly a lot of away supporters but likewise the Coach and Horses and never seen any bother. Seeing as we're travelling up by train they are both close and easy for us. Hope to see you in there. I'm the very good looking one with a Wolves shirt on.:D

Thanks Essex, I'll reply properly when I'm home.
There's a few good pubs around the 'city', as the weirdos refer to their town centre. The Compleat Angler is a safe bet as you probably already know; the Queen of Iceni is a generic spoons but it's on the river and is en-route from station to ground; the Prince of Wales is probably the only place you'll meet any resistance and isn't worth the bother; and further into town there's the Murderers which shows the footie and has ales on tap. If you're sticking around afterwards and don't mind a walk, the Ribs of Beef is good; the Mischief has a young crowd, a decent jukebox and pool; the Red Lion and the William IV are both on the east (I.e. Carrow Road) side of town and were decent last time I went.
After all that rambling on though, I'd go Compleat Angler, Queen of Iceni then the match and afterwards go further afield...

Dare say people may have already realised this but Norwich have their 3rd round FA Cup reply at Southampton on Wednesday 18th January which is just 4 days after a long haul journey to Rotherham this Saturday in the opposite direction. Lot of running about for them whilst Wolves have just the home game against Villa.
Might be just clutching at straws here but Wolves need all the luck and help they can get to have the remotest hope of reaching a PO spot and whilst difficult not impossible. Taking 3 points from Norwich would be very nice thank you. Obviously no idea what side Norwich will put out against Southampton but it looked a good side for Saturday just gone and if they do likewise in the reply there could be some weary players facing Wolves?

I've just got a couple of tickets for this. I wonder how many we'll sell at the bargain bucket price of £31.50 (inc postage/collection fee)? I have no right to pass judgement on our numbers, especially at that price, as I only usually do 5 away games a season but I hate saft fans like those of Norwich having a chance to take the ****.
I actually expect the rest of our 1600 allocation to shift soon though given the buzz around the club at the moment - COMB!

Clutching at straws maybe but here's hoping mate. In fact I might go wild and double my usual 50p bet.

I reckon you'll be fine, good luck though. I like Mersea Island, I had my first taste of oysters there last year, which is something you don't find dredging the cut in the West Midlands!

As Merseawolf describes them mate snot in a shell but the main thing is did they all work?;)

Good stuff - I missed this one a while back when I lived in Norwich because we sold out and was gutted.
We're going on the train but might see you in one of the pubs near the station.

We're not going till tomorrow. The others wanted a 2 night stay but one is plenty! Like u say it aint cheap. Really looking forwatd to watching Ronnie O'sullivsan again. Saw him play a couple of years ago and he really is different class to all the others.
Hoping to win some dough in the Hippodrome Leicester Sq but very much doubt it.

Is there an alternative forum for Norfolk folk of near-normal IQ? This lot are just jabbering on about someone dissing someone else's dead dad.
