According to Tim Nash on Twitter, Wolves are in for Ben Marshall from Blackburn whilst Lambert is planning a mass clearout of players.

He reckons that Stearman, Prince, CBJ, Teixeria, Wallace and Gladon are all on this supposed list to leave.

Regardless of whether Nash is right or not, who would everybody like to see leave?

I would only like Stearman to leave with a Solid replacement bought in, someone who is a leader and organiser

Yes, I agree. Not a huge fan of Stearman but has done well in recent games and provides some much needed communication back there. Perhaps Lambert is hoping that Williamson could fulfill that role.

Williamson proved his worth when he arrived on loan and I look forward to his return and would mark him as first choice centre-back but his injuries show that he's someone who can't be relied upon to permanently fill that role. We still need someone else unless PL thinks we can get through to the end of the season with what we've got. However, that's a massive gamble and would definitely consign us to playing in the Chump again next season.

Given Coady's come in at right back and Iorfa has been poor, I think it would be shrewd business to sell Iorfa to Wet Spam for £5m and get Marshall in cheap to replace him. Then we have genuine attacking threats from both wing-backs with Doherty on the left.

Ill lose a lot of goodwill toward Lambert if we send Stearman back for Mike '0 appearences in a calender year' Williamson.

Thats not a dig but we simply cannot have any faith in Williamson short term. His presence is a bonus at best. Building around him on the back of a year out and his general injury record would be rank idiocy.

Don't buy this one. Stearman provides experience, which Lambert has said needed. And he hasn't even seen Prince since injury yet. Pure speculation dressed as fact.

I imagine that Lambert has a CB or two lined up. Personally, I would loan out Hause too but suspect we won't.

Is our scouting team sacked as well, because that list is a massive critic of Thelwell and his team.
I know he had the assistance of Mendes, but he's previously stated that he has a portfolio on every decent player in Europe. Gladon was clearly his player, so was Wallace, and Stearman. He stated also, that he's tracked Bortwick-Jackson for some time, but couldnt get him until now, due to Mendes relationship with Mourinho.
As for the list itself, it seems odd to offload players like Prince and CBJ who's hardly had a chance, while offloading Texeira seems a bit of a chance, as we now only have Edwards and Bright to play in that hole behind the forward in Lamberts prefered 4231.
As for Stearman, I'd definetely keep him, unless a better player and leader is bought in.

Genuinely think we could get more than £5m despite his poor form, young English talent is a hyper inflated market.

Yep - certainly a risk to rely on Williamson given the fact he hasn't played competitive football for something like a year now. One must thing that Lambert has a CB lined up to sign anyway.

Prince is not here on loan, is he? I thought we bought him so give him a run in the team.

Why sell Prince? At least give him a proper chance now he is getting back to fitness. He scored a couple of goals and deserves a chance until the end of the season, in my opinion.
Also why do we need Marshall when we already have three better wingers than him at the club in Cav, Costa and Graham? We also have Ola John coming back from injury who has proven last season he is more than useful at this level.
    Nash talking *******s?

There are others I'd get rid of before Stears. Landell isn't good enough for this level despite absence making others' hearts grow fonder. I'd like to see us offload Kortney too.

No problem here with any of those or any others leaving.

On condition we are able to replace with quality players, you have to accept the manager will seek a fit to his methodology and expectation.

Nash didn't have a clue who was coming or going when he worked for the e&s, so I doubt he has any idea now. I'm still giggling about him sticking his neck on the line and saying Lambert would be appointed, about 48hrs after he was made the clear favourite.

That sounds like a list made up on the back of an envelope to me. If we have an experienced CH (or even two) lined up Stearman may be released, he hasn't really seen Prince yet so I think that would be odd (and expensive), I'm surprised CBJ hasn't gone already (talented but appears to think he's too good for us), Tex is too lightweight and doesn't have a position, Wallace seems to be crap (blame Thelwell if you like but some good judges on here were convinced he was a good signing), Gladon hasn't has a fair chance, but apparently hasn't been putting in the work so could see him going too. So all plausibly leaving except Prince which would surprise me but doubt if Nash really knows anything.

Must admit I'm slightly surprised at Prince being on that list. None of the others would be a surprise but I hope Saville is on the list too!

In terms of Marshall, presumably he'd be signed to play right back? But again, a square peg in a round hole?!

I believe he can play right back or central midfield. Out of contract in the Summer too.

i imagine that prince is on the list to up the amount of mendes linked players as he is the devil according to most local media.

i reckon it was mendes who broke dave whelan's leg as well.

I think we will see a few loans cut short, CBJ, Ola John and unfortunately Teixeira, I think Wallace will be on his way probably on loan, Gladon if anyone will take him, I can't see any of the ones I want going.

If we are after Ben Marshall who will be making way? We can't dump Costa or Cav surely? Even if they are filthy foreign Mendes clients and not proper British players

I'd add Ola John and Silvio to the cut list but keep Stearman.

I'd be tempted to send Iorfa out on loan for a month to get his confidence back... The lad is a monster who'll be a star if handled the right way.

Why would we sell him for some stupid amount at the bottom of his value curve!?

Just as Stearman seems to have settled down and started to work well with Batth there is talk of getting shot of him!
Unless we sign a CB of better quality it would be daft to get rid of him.
Hopefully if our CB pairing does well in our next two home games then we will hang on to him at least until the end of the season.

If Prince leaves ahead of Saville then Lambert needs a serious word with himself. I personally think Tim is talking out of his **** though.

Would be absolute madness to sell Prince without even having a look at him. If we sell him and keep the likes of George Saville I bloody despair.

Also don't see the sense in sending Stearman back when there are serious question marks over Williamson's fitness.

Marshall can play right back or centre midfield and would be an improvement in either position. He's not going to be bought to replace a winger. It's a good signing if true. The list of those leaving smells like ******** to me. Prince will be given a chance and I highly doubt Stearman will be allowed to leave

I would be gobsmacked of the club changed manager again before the end of the season regardless of results. There has to be some consistency and there are signs that things are starting to turn around.

Lets put something into perspective and that is that any player on a contract decides in the first place whether he stays on the payroll at this club. Now as far as leaving then we can only sell a player if another club want to buy him so the easy option is then in order to trim the number of players is to let those out of contract leave and they may not be the ones you want to lose at the first round. So loans are the best bet for players like Wallace, Evans and Saville. Let them get experience and their confidence back and then decide if they are still wanted.
So basically though Lambert will not really be able to do what he would most like until the summer at the earliest.

It's easier for me to say who I'd like to keep CI,Price, Saiss, Cav, Costa, ND, Bod. Give the injured players a chance to come back and see how they do till the summer. Any of the rest can go and that includes ALL our defenders where we need to start again.

We could of course buy a genuine quality right back instead of a square peg to fill a round hole.

A manager has a blank cheque and wants to buy a player and play him out of position? That's stupid thinking to me.

Fair enough. From what I have heard he isn't the most explosive of players and with several of our wingers at the club, better than him, then right back would be ok.

According to WM Gladon played this season before signing for us and therefore we can't sell him (or at least he can't play elsewhere) as he can't play for three clubs in a season.
