I would say that’s accurate.

Thelwells best years at any club was when Fosun took over and spent what I thought would be a bottomless pit of money. He would no doubt have been in the background while Mendes was pulling the strings.

His dossiers would have been a complete waste of time compared to Mendes’ and so it proved.

We have now got to rely on Matt Jackson’s dossiers, which needs mentioning. The early days of Neves, Jota (RIP), Jiminez, Moutinho, Patricio, Jonny etc are well and truly gone.
