The Stadia Thread.

It was designed like that and is complete for now; but it was built with the intention of building the fourth stand if and when needed.
The car park was an Asbestos tip and has made the cost to build a forth stand somewhat prohibitive.

Can't for the life of me understand why MetLife is hosting the final. Should've been Mercedes Benz or Sofi

Really is a strange choice isn't it. I can only assume that given the last time the US hosted the tournament the final was in LA they decided to give the East coast the go. SoFi seems the obvious choice by far.

Here's one I completely forgot. Was visiting friends in Cork and near Limerick back in ... 2001 ... I think? Anyway, to my surprise, I ended up watching Limerick vs. Tipperary at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork. At least I think that was the teams. It was definitely Limerick and I'm reasonably sure the other team were Tipperary because somebody made a joke on the way down in the car that "you can always tell a Tip man because he'll be the one folding the tin-foil he wrapped his sandwiches in to use it again"...

So, yes, Páirc Uí Chaoimh... I was in the curve at the other end of this picture and it was basically constant 'limbs', just like a packed, old-school football terrace.

EDIT: just realised that I think it was the Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2001.
