Can we keep our unbeaten start to 2026 going, can we make it 3 wins on the bounce at home?

Has Strand Larsen played his way into the starting 11? Will Andre, Mane or Arias make way in midfield? Will Hwang retain his place if Mane is not in midfield? Mosquera back for Doc, Bueno for Wolfe?

I think you might be about right with this.
I’d like to keep Arias in midfield, but we probably need both Andre and Gomes in there against Newcastle's midfield. Lots will call for it but i think it will be too soon to start Rodrigo at RWB.

Back to side that started the West Ham and Everton games. Possibly the only change I would make would be at RWB Rodders for Jackson. We have to find a way to be effective on both flanks and Jackson will just not run at man.

Keep the midfield 3 from today and push Mane further forward for Hwang as the floating false 9 and Lima for Jackson so would go with the below. Good to finally have options on the bench too so Roddy, Lopez, JSL all to get minutes.

We just know for sure the hwang will 100% start, he either must train like mbappe, do all of RE chores and drop his kids off at school etc or be told to start from above, I would like to see Lopez given hwangs place?

PS - presumably Agbadou is back next week from Afcon and makes the bench. Not obvious who for. Lima or Chirewa?

An assist and involved in two of the other goals today, as well as what he did against West Ham, I’m not a massive Hwang fan tbh and him playing so regularly reflects poorly on our forward options. However if you’re being objective Hwang starts against Newcastle.

JSL won't be an option come next weekend.

If Rodrigo is fit to start then I'd stick him in somewhere. For me, everybody is interchangeable apart from Joao, Krejci and Tolu, so take your pick.

Edwards has difficult decision with JSL getting a hat trick today.

Think it’s JSL or Tolu rather than JSL or Hwang. Edwards likes Hwangs work rate, pressing and pace and his link play down the left.

Think that’s my team too, tough on JSL and Andre, with Lima, Lopez and Rodrigo knocking on the door too. Has Hugo done much wrong as well. We’re starting to see some healthy competition for places.

Andre was my motm yesterday. He was very good. With Newcastle though and their cm. I would be tempted to put Andre in alongside Gomes as we saw yesterday but not sure for who as Arias ball carrying is needed.

Ultimately I would be against doing that because having watched them both for more than 50 games now, for whatever weird reason, I don't think our defensive capabilities improve for having both of them on the pitch.

Massive game for us, agba likely back but id make not to many changes from Everton other than changes at rb

Win can really drive us forward

I don’t really know. Probably the same team that started against Everton even though the midfield was better when Andre came on to give it some steal and control of the game. I’d be tempted to go, however:

Mosquera Santi Krejci

But I do think we will miss a Hwang type runner.

A difficult game no doubt, I'm sure we'll see minimal changes from the squad at Everton.

Absolutely. I don't know why either, but we look more solid playing one of the 2 with 2 more forward thinking midfielders, than the 2 of them plus one. I think it's because they like to sit deeper and this encourages the opposition forward whilst we carry less offensive threat

One more win Sunday get to double points start making teams worry about slipping up against us rather than a free win

Will give us some momentum, we aren't going to get anything from city but then Bournemouth at home we will be up for

Keep the same winning team. Newcastle loads of injuries plus champions league in the week. Imho a good time to play them

Should be and will be the same team......but the only debate is do we need another battler in Andre to combat Newcastle midfield.....For me Hwang for Andre is the conundrum......
