Let’s see what our squad looks like but for me let’s not muck about. Will be a chance for the regulars to keep their fitness up as it will only be one game into the season. Beat Stoke and we have, on paper, a straight forward third round tie then who knows.

Not saying full strength but would want to see six or seven usual starters. No Europe this season, only five games in this competition before you’re at Wembley isn’t it? May as well have a go.

I think the first team will need competive games to get back into their stride so there wont be all that many of the u23s in the starting 11. Maybe just Sanderson and Jordao.

Agree with this. As we have had no real pre season, this game might just be about getting fitness levels up. Strong 11 for me

I agree with you to a point, but the way the calendar is I can understand rotation initially.

If we’re still in it past the end of September then I want us to go all out to win it though.

.Not really, look at who the last 8 winners of the competition have been, it's no easier to win then the fa cup.

Havnt won a trophy of any description since 1988. 32 years. 40 years since a proper one.
We’ve got 2 chances this season, no Europe so please go as strong as possible.
The league and FA Cups have been ****ed over by the money in the premier league but it would still be amazing to see us actually win something. You don’t get a “best of the rest” cup unfortunately.

Fair point, and obviously the management team would have to judge the players fitness after today.

I'm confident we will get a new RB in before the next game which will see Adama take one of the front 3 spots and Neto dropped to the bench, so would keep him in for this one.

If theres no plans for a new RB, switch Neto for Shabani and play 3 in the middle.
