Protests

Sadly, that’s not strictly true. All Chinese businesses are bound by Chinese policy.
That’s exactly why Fosun were forced to turn the tap off 5 years ago.
Funny how they’ve got a Portuguese division that they seem to be heavily investing in. If they can’t invest they are literally risking hundreds of millions in losses so surely it would make sense to sell up? Or is it more that they invest as little as possible in the summer and then chuck money at it in January if needed?

Relegation would probably be the best way for Fosun to move on.

So we just need to continue being **** for another 30 games or so.

Fosun will not sell in the Championship.

They can, instead, let the club stagnate there (aka self sustain - far easier in the Chump) until one day either they luckily get promoted or if the football landscape changes favourably in the Prem, they can reinvest for a promotion push.

This is an investment company. It doesn't have a life. It doesn't live and die. It invests. Sometimes for decades.

They can stagnate for 5 years, 10 years, 20 years.

The assets value does not matter until the day they sell it.

Read about the Venkys at Blackburn to see how this works.

And how does that help the assets linked to the ownership of a premier league football club?

I’m pretty sure we could have a mass pitch invasion at the next next home game on Sky, carrying burning effigies of Jeff Shi, all waving Taiwan flags and chanting “**** off fosun”, and they wouldn’t give a ****.

Wolves are a big part of most people’s lives on here, but most people realised a good while ago that they mean very little to Fosun, and for that reason protests are pretty pointless. I’ll keep chanting Jeff Shis a ****er, but doubt it bothers him.

Fosun will sell Wolves when then decide it’s best for them, not because Iv lobbed a tennis ball at someone taking a corner.

It is relatively insignificant to Fosun. (Of course it's better to have a prem brand).

But the Wolves brand (logo) is recognisable at this time across the world for 8 years exposure.
And would still be if we were in the chump for 5 years.

In fact, if Wolves are at the bottom of the prem being spanked, associated with cheap and failing in the prem, with seats being emptied on 70 minutes, with fans singing about Fosun and Shi, then the quiet life of the Chump probably doesn't harm the brand too much in comparison.

This lot will sit and let it pass by for a few years until one day look to max out, knowing 30,000 will be back there (there would be 30,000 Blackburn fans there if they got in the prem too).

Blackburn - look at what has happened to them. It's there as a warning

These ****ers won’t pay attention to a few chants in all likelihood, but if people were to completely stop buying merch, food/drinks in the ground or tickets they might. Even unfollowing the club on social media or deleting their app sends a small message. I think we need to make it abundantly clear how they are thought of currently and back up the chants. We are headed into seriously dark waters here thanks to the arrogance and penny pinching of these *********

Just to add - if Fosun are sponsoring a ping pong tournament in Beijing, the punters won't know what the prem league table looks like, or the Chump one.

They'll see the Yellow* and Black Logo and recognise it. Fosun will be happy with that.

*Yes yellow and black. These ******* have even changed our colours covertly to tie in with their branding preferences.

What is the main focus of the proposed protest?
Awareness.

It will get pundits talking about it on Sky and BBC when doing the highlights, then papers will pick up on it, and then you never know, they could even read this forum.

90% of fans on here could see what was needed and the things we were doing wrong, yet the club ignored us and was slow getting off the mark from pre-season to desperate signings, then we are told it's a 9/10 window.

I'd be far more optimistic about us being sold to the right sort of owners if we were sold in the PL vs being sold in the championship though. You don't see too many ownership changes in the closed shop going especially badly, but step outside that and it's much murkier waters.

Our financial situation could actually potentially work against us in making us vulnerable to another Bhatti-style owner, and don't expect this lot to care who we go to

The gaslighting is unreal thinks we are stupid

9/10 window how?? For the money received??

The real effectiveness of any protest for Wolves would be to aim at getting it picked up as a talking point by the media. But aim it somewhere below the international politics of Taiwan vs China.

The protests need to be specific, aimed at the problem, and visible to the press.

The protest is about awareness……is that correct?

The owners greatest asset in this situation is spectator lethargy, where the perception is that nothing the fans do will change anything. Fosun have succeeded very well :(

I would say so, but I can not speak about other people. If the public and football pundits can identify why we have a problem, it could encourage Fosun to sell up or back the club, but I have not heard any pundits say we had a good window.

Asset stripping and burning money, along with some incredibly slow and poor decisions, have led to this.

Is any Wolves fan happy right now? Why are they unhappy? Then it all comes out.

protest away, it won’t make a difference. The only proper protest is for fans to stop renewing season tickets, stop buying merchandise and stay away from the ground. The sooner fans stop putting money in the clubs pockets the better - until then nothing will change. Hopefully fans stay away tomorrow

Sack Jeff bring Nuno back with Neves,Raul and Adama in Jan season saved and tons of brownie points for Fosun.
Yeah, whilst we're talking unicorns or *******s put the disappearing 2" off twix's and other chocolate bars back on, it's barely a mouthful nowadays, I said it's barely a mouthful.

The only way FOSUN will get the hint is like others have said and appreciate everyone is different and may not agree :)

but a starting point:

Don't attend the cup game tomorrow
Don't buy from the club shop
Don't buy from the concession stands

I do like the idea if it persists to wait in the concourse on a live TV game as it becomes unavoidable for the watching crowds and commentators to ignore.

Maybe we should get some of the bloggers, youtubers and wannabee celebrity fans to endorse such....as they clearly have an impact on the club judging from the "Fields of Gold" stuff....or is that just when it suits?

Sheffield Wednesday fans are wearing gold and black scarves and are boycotting the club shop and even the burger and tea bars inside Hillsborough. I’m not sure how successful it has been, but not purchasing merchandise will hit owners in the pocket.

As I expect you know Frank, Chansiri has got rid of anyone he could (almost all on free transfers to get the wages off the books), not paid HMRC which is a good way to administration, paid the players late, turned out pretty much u21 teams in the league. That's why people would laugh at us doing the same things because nobody has painted the Steve Bull and we've only spent £120m this window.

We haven't spent very well from what we have seen so far, but we've still got rubbish about asset stripping being written.

FOOTBALL FANS SHOW SOLIDARITY WITH TAIWAN - LIVE ON SKY SPORTS
Football fans from Wolverhampton (nr Birmingham) raise the Taiwanese flag in various orientations to protest against the Chinese state's bully-boy tactics. Fans are backing Taiwan to maintain self governance and are urging President Trump (who proudly tans himself in Wolverhamptons famous orange) to reinstate military aid.

When asked for comment one fan stated "well actually, the protest was sparked in light of Agbadou's inability to thread a simple ****ing pass in to the midfield".
The same fan later conceded that he couldn't point Taiwan out on a map and that he had no such qualms with the Chinese when we were dicking Man City and Chelsea in previous seasons.

I think we need a sense of perspective here. Its absolutely **** on and off the field but the club isn't dying. I join in with the Jeff Shi chants because he hiked the ticket prices but I think we should be careful what we wish for. Fosun have stabilised things, theyre not reckless with club finances, yes, on the pitch it's awful, yes, the ground is scruffy but there aren't many owners in world football that we'd gladly swap with and new investors aren't queing up for obvious reasons.

Stick your flags and your tennis balls. At this point we just have to support the team. Jeff Shi chants only ring round when we go behind so it seems a bit shallow and the idea of protesting is self fulfilling, pathetic and misguided.

sounds like a club account

The main thing is anyone still sort of backing Fosun What's the end result for us on the pitch and off it . As nevermind the playing side of things with the first team . What have they done for the facilities really and our youth setup is not great is it . Both take investment and let's face it they are not willing to move us forwards in multiple areas nevermind one .
