Forum with Edwards Shi and Jackson

I wonder if there will be a noticeable pause before Shi answers - as the reply is fed through from China generated by some Fosun goon with Ai feeding it to his earpiece.

It’s why he couldn’t answer the guy in the car park video
He could answer……he chose not to.

If anyone would be happy to ask something along these lines:

The club was effectively used to launch Fosun's SUDU clothing brand. Does the club itself benefit financially from this relationship, with shirt sales and money from image rights going into its profit and loss accounts, or does all of the money go directly to the separate SUDU company?

And an extra one just to make Nathan squirm:

There has been wider scrutiny of 'white-label' gambling sponsors of football teams, particualrly around transparency and regulation. Could the club outline what due diligence is is carried out on commercial partners, and what steps are being taken to ensure future sponsors meet high standards of transparency and compliance?

No disrespect mate but I think those are the type of questions we need to avoid. Sudu is the least of our worries at the current time. I think we need to focus on the plans for promotion etc. The sort of questions to be asking would be:
  • You mentioned previously that we would be doing what it takes (paraphrasing) to get promotion at the first attempt - what does that look like in practical terms?
  • Nathan you've been in position for a few months now, are you convinced we have the personnel in-house capable of overseeing the squad rebuild necessary for a serious promotion push? I ask this as many fans are concerned and not convinced that we do.
  • What have we learned - as a club - in our journey of decline over the past 4/5 years that has seen us go from being a top 7 Premier League club to relegation to the Championship and what would we do different assuming we attain PL status?
  • And more broadly can you outline Fosun's plans for Wolves?

Yes this is what I want to ask and how they think similar sized clubs have done it so much better

Feel these should be forwarded on, anyone attending who can ask these

I think you are spot on about asking all of these, and I wouldn't want questions to be wasted if there is a limited number. These should top of the list.

My SUDU one is effectively trying to sow the seeds for something bigger - there is a lot of commentary about how the club stagnated in the Premier League and relied on player sales but did little to 'diversify'. Only we did 'diversify' - we stuck our logo on an eSports team and brought our kit production 'in-house'. Or at least it looked that way. I fear that rather than going into the club, this money from those kits might be going into a separate Fosun pocket and not into the club which is part-financed by a loan secured against our stadium. I might be completely wrong, but thought it was worth an ask to understand the picture while there is an audience with the chief exec.

I'd settle for just a slight indication of what the plan is though!

If these are the quality of questions then it should be a very useful, interesting night. Good work @sjonnie!

Fosun would love it if we ask questions on the liquidator, merchandising, etc and avoid the elephants(s) in the room.

The time For them talking about all
The great things they are going to do is over - we need to tie them Down to concrete actions with deadlines so we can see if we are being lied to again.

They will push the narrative of young and hungry British based players because thats what the boys club want. People will lap it up. Unless there is some fundamentally unique way that has been thought up that no one else does it will be doomed to failure, as its what everyone else does and we arent exactly unique, paying more or have such facilities that open up avenues to the elite clubs. What stops the big clubs doing what they do now hoovering up the best British talent? us being the apex of the mendes production line actually has a chance as we are at least by proxy of fosun part owners of his agency.

And I’m sure we’ll be hearing a lot about hard word, energy and intensity.

With the greatest of respect to the poster, the questions are feeble. That will be answered in a vague politicians way with soundbites and clichés. It's just the types of questions they want.

Asking questions with the intention of pinning down a commitment is what is needed.

As I say no disrespect to sjonnie and applaud the efforts but vague questions get vague answers.

It doesn’t matter what’s asked the answers will be vague.

Given our apparent inability to grow our commercial income, this is a very valid question.

Please no one waste a valuable 5 mins asking about the bxxxy liquidator again :(

I don't think asking Nathan if he has confidence in his management team to do the required rebuild is particularly vague, particularly when you are allowed a follow up.

Out of interest what sort of questions would you be asking?

What are you going to ask if you get chosen?
What their explanation is for going from 2 7th place finishes to a team that is relegated and has had to have two fire fighters in the last couple of years why do they think that smaller teams have managed to do everything better on and off the pitch and what plans are in place if we do (by some miracle) get promoted to compete with similar size teams in the future

When are they refunding season ticket holders?

Have they seen the league table?

Who scouted Jackson Tchatchoua?

Has the person who thought fields of gold / those were the days would be good walk out music ever been to a football match?

Are they embarrassed?

Specifically, how does a manager "knowing the club" translate into success on the pitch?

31,000 recently turned up to watch a relegated team - thoughts?

We have a very famous strip - why do we not use it in away games?

My questions:
1. why should the fanbase have any confidence in Fosun's long-term commitment to the club, when failure to improve the ground and the dereliction of proper management and constant mismanagement since the ridiculous decision to sack/not back our best manager in the last 50 years?
2. What role if any does Jeff Shi continue to have, either directly or indirectly?
3. It's clear the vast majority of fans have lost confidence in RE, is it healthy/sensible to go into next season with such an unpopular manager?
4. Based on previous public comments by Jeff et al, why should fans have any confidence in what's said tonight?

I understand where you are coming from and genuienly think it is brilliant we have fans givig some proper thought to questios but he is not going to say no even if he doesn't. It will be along the lines of..

Yes I have full confidence. They have my full support and believe they are the right people and the right time.

Some sprinking of experience and repsected in the game BS bingo to fluff it out. Plus referring to Edwards 'proven track record' crap.

I've been there and done it mysekf when I didn't believe a word of it.

On the questions perhaps something along the lines of what level of commitment is there to invest in the stadium next and be specific on the % of revenue/ income / pounds and pence that is in plan to invest in the stadium next year. He won't say specifics but it will be F all but thay in itself tells us there is no priority for the stadium.

Same approach to level of spend on the first team. What level of spend will you commit tonight to the fans on the first team net of sales or exits. Pounds and pence or ratio of revenue, epxenditure etc etc.

Play The Liquidator at Molineux and undoubtedly the words "**** Off West Brom" will be shouted from the stands. The club and the police don't want that to happen. What part of that do Wolves fans not grasp ? IT AIN'T COMING BACK - NOT EVER !!

with respect, i dont think the stadium matters at all at this stage. Bournemouth seem to be doing OK with their small shed.

I want to see wolves winning games again, i hope that is the focus - they'll love to waffle on about anything else - it lets them off the hook.

What nonsense it’s played at West Brom and they are allowed to sing **** off wanderers
There is swearing in most chants at every football club

Oh without a doubt he's not going to throw them under the bus. But then the follow up question would be to ask how does he have confidence in the recruitment that was essentially the team that oversaw the disastrous summer window. What is it that will be done differently in identifying the right players not only to achieve promotion but without the need to completely rebuild the team when promoted.
It will most likely be a scripted response. However if enough questions are asked in the right way he might start to have doubts himself.

Another question that might be interesting would be: has he considered getting external expertise to assess and advise on setting up a functional and experienced management structure on the football side?

Exactly the sort of arrogance from the club which will cost them massively in lost ST renewals..... and if l don't renew l have zero intention of buying matchday tickets. **** Fosun and their apologists.

Why are you lying to us and gambling with the clubs future. Fosun know how to get promoted out of the Championship, all you have to do is repeat what you did previously. Hire a manager with experience and credibility and sign players who are too good for that level. Why then are you gambling with Rob Edwards and Matt Jackson, neither of which have credibilty or experience in doing this?

That's actually a very valid question.
Its obvious there's a world of difference between the scenario currently ahead of us, and the scenario back when Nuno came in, What has changed since then is an obvious question? And replying that they rate Edwards highly wouldnt cut it. Anyone with a brain can see that Nuno is miles better than Edwards.

Surely when Nathan says they rate Edwards highly the reply would be just exactly who is We? Because as far as I can see the hierarchy of the club reeks of failure.

I would like to see their attitude towards building connection back with fans because recent performance and attitude of club and players does not bring hope for next

Can they confirm if clearing the decks of the coaching staff is not off the table

Irrespective of Edwards or Jackson being there there question needs to be asked. Because it signifies the intent of fans that we have no faith in the current team in situ

Also, this identity verification of Jeff
Shi for Fosun Sports, registered address of Molineux.

If Jeff has no influence at wolves why is he listed as a director with a residence of Wolves, why is it affecting confirmation statements for Fosun sports and given Fosun sports own Wolves, Jeff is a director why is the club lying to us that Jeff has no involvement
