15 points from 9 games under Pereira, even though they lost the first two and had the EL to deal with.

I suppose that depends on whether we had any faith in this policy.

I do get what you're saying - it would be 'say one thing but do another' but we'd be far from the only football club to have ever done that and, in fact, gaslighting and reality-distorting has been the name of the game for us. I'm not saying that I know one way or the other, I just don't think that it "100%" (to quote above) means RE is staying if he turns up. I suppose we'll find out in the next month or so.

We even had one of Jeff's most infamous, "lying with facts" by saying Lopetegui was working to prepare the squad for the new season when he in fact knew he was leaving. I wouldn't put too much stock in Edwards being present at the forum talking a good game, as proof of anything. He could easily be a dead man walking.

They did the ask wolves videos talking about Nuno planning the next season despite it being recorded after he’d been told to leave
 
Right….if this guy is still in post come Tuesday then I urge every fan on here with a ticket to boycott! Genuinely…boycott it! What will be the point of going really?! To be fed bull**** line after bull**** line in an attempt to hoodwink us into supporting RE for next season?! Even if you do go, the second any dodgy questions or heated arguments start up they’ll be jumped on by Daz Hale. We already know what RE is gonna say now he’s thrown the players under the bus and deflected any blame! Spread the word…’BOYCOTT THE BULL****!’

Boycotting would just play into their hands. Means they get away with not answering the fans.

Fans should make it well aware that the fan base have no confidence with Edwards going forward

Mate, I’m all for home truths being spoken but do we think this will be allowed and to what extent?… if it is and there is a genuine opportunity to go both barrels then yeah it’s game on but I just fear any such viciousness towards RE and Wacko will be deflected or nipped in the bud….and will Nathan even listen and take on board.
Let’s face it as far as we’re aware he so far still supports this man that has won 3 games in 25 and whose only two signings so far have been pretty rotten. I won’t knock AA for effort but he imo is not gonna do anything special…especially and ironically as long as RE is in charge.
Its a massive shame its not being streamed live!

Available in full from 1pm Wednesday according to Daz Hale yesterday (maybe on BBC Sounds). Think it’s highlights at 6pm on WM.
 
If they have any sense, hmmm, then surely they would sack him today. The atmosphere at this meeting would be completely different to the toxic atmosphere if he is still in place.
It would also give a new manager longer to assess Jacksons plan, and when hes stopped laughing, then presumably sack Jackson the following week.
A new manager may believe he can get more out of some of our squad and if he has a decent reputation, might even encourage a few to stay.
 
Thinking about it With the recent poor performances, press conference and rumours about Edwards going it does seem that the timing of the forum is poorly judged I.e. still 2 games to go, and would have been better to have waited till immediately after the end of the season, even without recent events the majority of questions would have been about what went wrong with this season what is going to be done differently going forwards to fix that etc.,who’s staying who’s going, all things it would be easier to give open answers to once the season had finished

The whole plan in October of bringing someone in for next season was beyond ridiculous...Whether he was the right man or not it was pointless because whoever it was would have had the wind knocked out of them come April/ May especially if the plan was to cash in , in January with player sales.

You can't wave the white flag while pretending to put a plan in place for next season... Because they made those statements in October of him being here next season they backed themselves into a corner....It was another barmy descion from Shi n Jackson...... absolutely ridiculous..

Forward planning to continue the circus...if the plan was to dismantle everything by June, a new manger should have started June 1st with a clean slate not a hangover..

Yes but Stale Solbakken had to watch 40 dvds of our previous performances in order to decide who to keep. Rob has seen it first hand so no time lost watching video nasties.
 
Well no news coming out of Wolves so far, would suggest that RE is still going to be at the forum which will be interesting...
 
Can inagine Nathan saying Rob will be in charge next season and Edwards sitting there with a smug arrogant look on his face.

Understanding 'anything to do with accounts'.
As a qualified Accountant one of the first questions we were asked to ponder during training was "Is accountancy a science or an art form?"
This was summarised by asking an Accountant what 2 plus 2 equals, to which the correct accountancy answer is ' how much would you like it to equal?'
That's why I prefer to ignore one year's accountancy figures and look at many years history.
In the last 10 years Wolverhampton Wanderers Football club has lost close to £300m. Fosun have underwritten that or funded it.

Fundamental difference between financial accounting and management accounting in interpreting accounts. In financial terms may well have lost £300m over 10 years bit what financial benefit has been delivered to the group in the broader context through their ownership of the club, profile, branding, wider exposure. With parachute payments, potential sales what is the actual net loss if club sold tomorrow?

Agreed, they may still be within wiping their face distance, with a sale of on pitch assets, parachute payments and early sale of the club.

Looking at results for Premier League and Championship, the financial losses are larger in the Premier league.
