Fer López

Oh you do have an agenda and it's very obvious that you think your made up story is right and are now dying on that hill.

Which is just bizarre.
I honestly have no idea what you think that agenda is, or why you think I'm dying on any hill. If you think Lopez was eager to stay and do well when Edwards came and Edwards just didn't fancy him then fair enough, you're entitled to that opinion without the need to be arsey about it.

The Championship is not more physical than the Premier League. The quality is lower and it’s misinterpreted as more physical but it isn’t. The majority of the Premier League players are supremely fit and strong athletes, and because of its position as a top league, these players are some of the fittest and strongest in Europe, and probably world football. The Championship? Not so much.
I will accept it’s physically demanding as it’s still recognised as a top European league despite it being our second tier, and is much more physical than La Liga.
I am not sure it is any more physical bar the lower you drop the more likely you ar3 to find technically poore players who make up for that shortfall with more agricultural tackles maybe. And of course there is the attrition of the number of games due to the size of the league.

Of your many Agendas don't think Lopez features. ;)
Personally hope he stays and blows our minds!

Nobody has that opinion because nobody knows.

You made something up and are now dying on an imaginary hill. Bonkers stuff all because your perceived notion about a player and a terrible manager.

You know me so well! Absolutely love him to stay and rip up the Championship, not least because I think he probably only doing that if we're playing great football.

Sorry, if we're restricting posts to things people know to be certain facts that's fine. Let's not forget that this started with this post though.

Could be that Fer thought Edwards was a complete chancer and thought he'd be better off nowhere near that joke of a manager.

You do love to twist stuff and could be described as disingenuous at best. You started with this gambit:

I think the thing that this thread seems to ignore (maybe because it never happened) is that I imagine that the first thing Edwards did when he arrived was to ask the players who was up for a relegation battle and really wanted to be here. Fer had decided no (maybe he never really wanted to come and it's just another Mendes cattle market job anyway) and consequently Edwards gave him roughly one game worth of minutes, same as Pereira had before he arrived.

You even admit you've made it up!

Man, that was a full scale onslaught on a poster generally acknowledged, I think, to be one of the most peaceful, conciliatory, gentle hippy statesman of Molineux Mix! Your perseverance is kinda admirable!
Gotta love it when there's an argument over what both acknowledge are supposition. We need rumours of players incoming and some positive news, cos the close season is genuinely tough!

It's like 2 bald men arguing over a comb

You have obviously never crossed swords with him over politics. ;)
Undeniable. As my wise pal @Rhoswolf said, I'm not short of agendas, I just don't have one on this topic.

Do I think Edwards should have been kept on? No, I said when he came I didn't see how he would keep his job if we struggled to 20 points. I did have a spell when I thought he was turning it round a bit, but after the international break it was just useless, terrible to watch, terrible results. Do I think everything **** about last season was down to him, certainly not, he was as much a symptom as a cause.

Do I think Fer Lopez would be an asset for next season? I'd be more than happy to see him stay and try if that's what he wants. I didn't really watch him after he went on loan and I've taken the trouble to check that I saw 155 minutes of him live, so I'm not judging him on that or the 65 minutes at Brentford that I missed.

Was I just speculating that he wanted to go back to Spain by the time Edwards arrived? Obviously - that's what I said.

From the E&S

The 22-year-old had a difficult time last season and was sent back to old club Celta Vigo on loan, but he looks happier around the squad now and more settled in the knowledge that Wolves are keen to keep him.It is understood Peixoto is a fan of the Spaniard and is prepared to play him in the Championship - where his technical ability could cause a nightmare for the opposition if he can stand up to the physical test.

Where would everyone play Lopez?

Mane Fer Said
Armstrong

?
I would probably play him in Portugal. I think the pace of the game will give him a chance to really excel there. What i've seen of him in england and spain is that he tends to want a bit too much time on the ball.

But hey, I'll back him if he stays and wants to play. If hes playing crap I won't blame everybody else for it though.

The transformative power of being wanted and appreciated by your manager.

Shows how clear our thinking was if we assembled a crap squad because we wouldn't pay the wages to try to break even but still blew £20m on a kid with barely any top level football behind him, who the manager didn't want (if that is the case).

Particularly because that would likely mean Mendes sorted it, Jackson approved it and they are in the driving seat again.

I think some deals are all down to Mendes and those higher in Fosun than Jackson, or any DOF we've had since Fosun bought us.
The DOF (this window Jackson) has been issued a rubber stamp.

Good to hear his thoughts, and speaking positively about his role with Caesar. Let's hope he has strengthened over last 6 months, and improved speed of thought as his basic ability to spot and then find a ball was occasionally impressive. Needs to be regular. (And no jokes re All Bran, please)

Sounds like he’s committed to working under Cesar which is a positive for all concerned. Trying to get the best out of him in a formation that works is the next part. I don’t ever see him in a 2 alongside Andre, he needs to be further forward playing in the holes where he gets a bit more time and space on the ball.

I hope we play some kind of 4231 hybrid as I think that suits the attacking players we already have here. Fer, Mane, Armstrong & Rodrigo could all do well in my opinion behind Raul as they all have different attributes to each other.

He's a 10 all day for me. Based on how he was against Stoke last pre season he should do some damage at this level.
