I'd rather swap Guedes and sell Silva. On the Fabio swap, Vigo is just 90 minutes drive from Silva's birthplace on the outskirts of Porto so it may appeal?

Or after his first couple of games - All Fer coat and no knickers.I await a barrage of “Fer ****’s sake” puns when he makes his first mistake.
I'd guess that the reported agreement on personal terms might come in to it.Lots of very unhappy Celta fans on Twitter/X. The general consensus is that they can't understand why he would leave a team playing in Europa next season for a relegation-threatened team.
I said yesterday that it's £5m with £35m add-ons. Many deals are going in this direction as clubs struggle to stay within constraints.Looks like we'll still be after a more experienced 10 as 1st choice but I do like the look of Lopez as long as the fee is nowhere near the €40M clause
I wouldn't trust anybody that wants Fabio Silva for a year. They're not. One bloke wants 40 million, they keep him for a year, and get Fabio Silva on loan for 12 months.....
something about he'll be their best player in a few years, but has a reserve team contract and they should have signed him up and given him a pay rise before now.
Who's the relegation threatened team they are talking about as our record since Vitor joined is far from it.Lots of very unhappy Celta fans on Twitter/X. The general consensus is that they can't understand why he would leave a team playing in Europa next season for a relegation-threatened team.
Some sad fans, some angry fans calling him a rat.
Good news for us I guess?
To many links etc etc, I think this is well along the way to being a done deal, looks a fine prospect and obviously being friends with JSL will not harm our chances of signing him, neither will your thread starter
I've doomed this one by starting a thread, haven't I...
Wouldn he really leave La Liga where he's been starting since January to come become one for our future?Sounds like one we’re going to develop, rather than a ready to go first teamer.
Pork star?Pork star looks
Porn star name
Gerrimin!
Could we have got someone better for that money?Being reported in Spain his release clause is actually €20M, it won't be €40M until he triggers certain things that in his deal
You can always get better, it's also been reported we've got no intention of paying the clause so it'll probably be a fair bit lower upfront but with potential to be more with add-onsCould we have got someone better for that money?
Clear that we am looking at the potential here yes if he comes good huge money spinner fingers crossed

Coping pretty hard saying that there's a chance we pay more than his release clause and/or offer a sell-on.Celta and Wolves are negotiating for Fer López, with a 20 million release clause.
Celta Vigo and Wolves are negotiating the transfer of Fer López . The agreement between the player and the Premier League club was finalized several days ago. Now, both clubs are negotiating the transfer of the young youth player, who, as ElDesmarque has been able to confirm, still has a €20 million release clause .
The contract renewal was announced less than a year ago.
There were different scales with different termination clauses.
Fer Lopez, a signing for Wolverhampton at the expense of Celta de Vigo
The renewal contract signed almost a year ago between Celta and Fer López, even though the midfielder was represented by his former agent, included several clauses depending on the player's status at the club. Fer López subsequently joined Jorge Méndes and his agency, Gestifute .
The connection between Fer López and Wolves is clear. He's Jorge Mendes . The Portuguese agent represents the young Sky Blue striker . Furthermore, his ties to the team are clear. Wolves owner Fosun International owns 20% of the Gestifute agency , owned by Jorge Mendes.
This contract, which in Fer López's case was announced on July 28, 2024, is similar to those signed by other players in recent months. Depending on his salary and his situation at Celta, his release clause will rise to the 40 million euro ceiling.
Currently, Fer López's buyout clause, which keeps him in the reserve team like other players such as Javi Rodríguez and Yoel Lago, is only €20 million. This doesn't mean a move to Wolves will be finalized for that amount.
The Vigo club could get a higher amount or other benefits, such as a percentage of a future sale, if it reaches an agreement with Wolves. The agreement between Jorge Mendes and the English club regarding Fer López's terms is complete. The 21-year-old youth player is expected to sign a long-term contract.
It was Alex Crook , speaking on talkSPORT , who first revealed Wolves' interest in Fer López. Jorge Mendes had agreed the terms of his move to Molineux Stadium with the English side about a week ago. This Saturday, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the agreement.
Celta Vigo and Wolves are now negotiating the attacking midfielder's transfer. Various sources consulted by ElDesmarque indicate that the youth player's departure to the Premier League is on track.
I reckon if it's €20m only, no extras, then for a 20 Yr old with that much ability and potential we have got a bargain.Yep, 20M euros release clause.
"Well, we were wrong (or misinformed) and Fer López's current release clause is actually only 20 million euros. His transfer to Wolves is taking shape and Celta is not going to get a lot of money... it's time to cry."
Below 18 million quid then, that seems ok.Yep, 20M euros release clause.

He's officially still a youth team player and the €40m is the release clause of when he becomes a senior player so I'm assuming they can't change that until 1st July or next season.Certainly makes sense why were moving fast though, his contract might change soon and the €40M clause kicks in. I wonder who made us aware of that?
Yeah he's still on a reserve contract, the €40M clause kicks in when his wages go up. It stinks that his agent is Mendes and he's given us the nod but this is how he can help usHe's officially still a youth team player and the €40m is the release clause of when he becomes a senior player so I'm assuming they can't change that until 1st July or next season.
Assume he's on lower wages while a youth player and Celta were being cute holding off promoting him to save money otherwise that clause is proper Shi + Sellars dream team levels of stupidity.
May be Celta played hardball and it's back firedYeah he's still on a reserve contract, the €40M clause kicks in when his wages go up. It stinks that his agent is Mendes and he's given us the nod but this is how he can help us

Mendes didn't negotiate the contract, that was his former agent's doing and agents giving interested clubs the nod about the particulars of release clauses is old hat at this point. The renewal contract signed almost a year ago between Celta and Fer López, even though the midfielder was represented by his former agent, included several clauses depending on the player's status at the club. What is his trajectory if he's travelling on foot?18m is a good deal for fer Lopez he's broke into velta vigo highly thought of in Spain and celta, viewed as an aspas heir
Will be at bus current trajectory involved in the Spain squad over the next few years
It does **** me off when people quote jsl as this year. When people were quoting it last yearClearly. My point is if we look at net spend then this shouldn’t really be used in an argument as to what we have invested, unless we factor in last season too.
Excellent I hate autocorrect by foot perhaps 15 milesWhat is his trajectory if he's travelling on foot?
How come he isn't in Spain u21 euro squad then....18m is a good deal for fer Lopez he's broke into velta vigo highly thought of in Spain and celta, viewed as an aspas heir

Freudian slip if ever I've seen onePork star?
They are playing torre in there, he's got a lot of players to get in behind. How come he isn't in Spain u21 euro squad then....
Just saying..I think we need to be careful building him up too much....They are playing torre in there, he's got a lot of players to get in behind.
If you think of the minutes that Sarabia and Geudes put in last season, maybe he is ready for that and if he shines he will get more.Is he first team ready?
How many goals and assists in La liga last year?
Reminds me of Trincao. Will be interesting if he has the pace and strength for the league
