2025/26 Season Mr Rob Edwards and his Press Conferences

Doesn’t matter what RE says or does at this point, his relationship with the current players and fans is badly damaged. He will only be able to repair the relationship with the fans through a strong summer window and hitting the ground running with an attacking intent next season.

I’m resigned to him still being here next season, so may as well sit back, accept that these players won’t perform for RE and see what preseason brings.

My God he spouts some bollards,I'm going to say everything the fans want to hear because I know that most of them want me gone..it was only last week he threw the team under the bus as not being capable of competing in league 1 ,and as for him saying it could be the last game at Molineux for some hopefully hes among those who'll be on the way out

Unfortunately if he’s having recruitment meetings still then yeah he’ll be here for the start of next season. Another summer wasted.

Fosun are well known for letting current managers think they'll be here the season after then replacing them a week or two later so fingers crossed Nathan is keeping his cards close to his chest

As posted in the other thread, this is what Paul Lambert said about the same time of the season, 10 years ago:

“Kevin (Thelwell, sporting director), Laurie (Dalrymple, managing director), myself and the staff, hopefully we’re all going the same way and getting lads in to help the current group to give them that push."

RE was talking about writting off the last two games Tuesday night at the forum what has changed since then......
Nathan has said at the same forum... he expects results and his lack of any pro endorsment of RE & MJ means they better get 3 or 6 points or they might be gone themselves is how i and many others feel is certainly possible.

the group the lads :)

If he gathered from the forum, that there was a lot of support for him as a manager, then he's more deluded than I thought..
Were you there? Sounded like a mixed bag to me, some opposition to what he said and some support, especially around having players here who wanted to be here.

It's such a soft cliché though.

What if he said 'I wish we'd never signed Jota or Neto, they were just using us as stepping stones'? Reckon that would have got a round of applause.

Sure some of those players came and gave their all while they were here, unlike Guedes for example, but they were leaving from the day they arrived. That's an important distinction to me, none was ever stopping for 10 years in the hope of becoming a 'club legend'.

I agree, wanting to be here and wanting to be here forever are very different things.

I’d applaud us signing players who are of real quality that will help us to get promoted and established again in the PL, with the knowledge they’ll move onto bigger things.

Do any players dream about being at any club for 10 years any more, would be an exception I’d say.

No, just judging from listening to the full audio from it, and reading verdicts from those who went.
I do gather that there were support for his quotes about only wanting players that wants to be here, but who wouldn't support that? Doesn't man fans want him to stay.

Doesn’t mean people want him to leave either, there’s a lot on the fence.

Not according to the votes on the 2 most popular Woves forums with less than 5% support, didn't you want Lambert to stay?
Molineux mix has never been a reflection of feelings at Molineux.

At the time I did want Lambert to stay, but wasn’t bothered when he was sacked, I’m even less wedded to keeping Edwards to be honest.

Although I’m pretty sure he’s not been the biggest issue over the last 5 years.

So you think Edwards is 'meh', nothing special and yet its ok not to sack him? Are you sure you support Wolves?

Absolutely, I for one (amongst the thousands more), hope that this weekend will be Robs last game in charge of the Wolves at Molineux.
Infact, if things start to go awry, I guess this final game at Molineux v Fulham represents our final chance to Show Fosun and make them Clearly aware,
that we will not stand for Edwards remaining in charge next season, and we want both He and Jackson gone ASAP.
Need to make it clear to Nathan and Fosun, If they want Season Ticket sales, then we want action regarding a new manager and DOF.
Obviously, No one can say who should come in, but I would have thought, a clear message to Nathan and Fosun would/should be, the more exciting the appointment as new boss and DOF, Im sure the higher the renewal rate of season tickets... 2 weeks to go, time to act ??
