2025/26 Season Mr Rob Edwards and his Press Conferences

I'm confused ... did he get a bad shoulder from throwing his toys out of his pram or did he do it in Brentford (at a local nursery, maybe)?
He was originally injured in the process of wrestling him back into the pram. Then he picked up a Buzz Lightyear action figure which turned out to be heavier than he anticipated and aggravated his shoulder. Following this he drop kicked Mr Potato Head which went straight into touch.

I dont care what comes out of WWFC . It is only a big summer if we actually do something
I will not buy another season ticket until I have seen a major reconstruction of our club.
That could be awhile then.

It would be good if they told the truth, Jade.
I’m not sure. If Rob came out and said “Farke has done alright in the championship before, but this season is the first time he’s looked remotely competent in the premier league. And he’s got a silly camp voice”, he’s done Leeds’ team talk for them.

He does sound like the 3 little pigs from Shrek!!

LL missing out the bit where Edwards said that the club trajectory has been downward for a few years now culminating in relegation and that mistakes were made this season.

Recruitment is key and players are ultimately the ones that go across the white line and so recruitment has to be right going forward.

Nice to see him have a dig at Shi and the **** poor recruitment for the last few years.

Re your last para everything from the club right now all smacks of "it was all Jeff's fault, honest, and Fosun are still wonderful owners".

Don't get me wrong, Jeff was bloody awful but he wasn't operating in isolation and Guo et al were quite happy to keep him there.

They certainly made one big mistake this season.

I put it through the AI "Football Managerspeak Translator, which translates what they say into what they really mean, and got this:

RE: "On relegation: "It's tough to take but we know where we've been....It wasn't easy but it's about how we respond"
FMT: We've been terrible, relegated from Day 1, but I'm relieved we just about beat Derby's record.

RE: "On recruitment: "It is important we get it right. We've spoken about it a lot"
FMT: We need signings fast. The club haven't done anything yet. Like last year..the year before...

RE: "On last 5 games: "We want to finish as strong as possible,"
FMT: If only they'd put some effort in to take me off the bottom of the all time PL managers list.

RE: " that's the message we're instilling and driving every day"
FMT: I got some good management buzzwords into that sentence. Perhaps the England job isn't out of the question in the long run. Must remember to mention my "journey".

RE: "The bottom line is it's a group of people who care, things can happen. In terms of people I like, don't like or want around"
FMT: Safe, yes? I think I got away with it. Now, let's get those summer holiday destinations booked. We can upgrade now I'm getting lots more money than at Boro.

AI really is improving these days. Soon we'll an AI good enough to be our CEO.

And continue to keep him in the good ship Fosun's crew going forward.

Hardly the actions of owners/employers who felt he'd performed badly in his previous role.

A trusted company man more like

Possibly. I’d have gone with Vitor not getting the boot in pre season if it was obvious he wasn’t interested
Result would have been the same. The self imposed salary cap and trying to screw every deal down to the last penny would have meant different players but the same quality. The salary table for the league pretty much mirrors the league table barring a few exceptions.

'I don't have to be best mates with everyone' No you ****ing don't, your the ****ing manager!! Absolute Sunday League
