    The Non-Wolves Transfer Window Thread

I'm no scout, but in all competitions he had 125 G+A in 102 matches with Sporting after 57 G+A in his final two seasons at Coventry. And his numbers have improved massively season to season. He could look and play like a broken billiard ball for all I care, his production over the past few...

    World Club Cup 2025

Absolutely, that was essentially a new, experimental competition paid for by Saudi Arabia and DAZN. Plus, finals always have more pomp & circumstance with pre-match and halftime festivities. Of course, I'm ignoring the Trump of it all because that's just how I get by as an American these days...

    Diogo Jota, gone too soon.

That was a nice gesture from the Azores-born Bettencourt, who's probably still best known for the heart-wrenching early '90s ballad More Than Words he co-wrote/performed with Extreme (which might even be fitting at such an emotional time as this). I've spent the past few days, like everyone...

    Next Seasons Shirts

It's such a cheap trick to get fans to buy the higher cost shirt. The pro version should be for fans who want a higher quality material or application of the design, more athletic cut, etc. It shouldn't be the only way to get a shirt that looks the same as what we see on the pitch.

    Absolutely dreadful news, so unfair...

    Jeff Shi Interview

Absolutely spot on. Fans largely "don't understand" or "don't realise" most about running a club. The key difference is that some fans are aware of this (myself included) and others are not. And not only is the average Wolves fan not enraged about the esports team, they're more likely to be...

    Jeff Shi Interview

There's a huge difference between spending your way to promotion to the Premier League vs. spending your way to being a consistent top 8 contender in the Premier League though. Neves and Jota cost <£30m combined back in 2017 and now Wolves will spend that much on a single player only for fans to...

    Jeff Shi Interview

I've only listened to the stadium portion of the interview, and it's frustrating to hear exclusively about hospitality/business/conferences when it comes to updating Steve Bull. That coupled with what he said about expanding capacity – ideally 35-38k (which I agree with), but adding merely a...

    Jeff Shi Interview

Wolves might yet take less of a loss on Fabio than they did on Cutrone, plus Fabio's rumoured to end up with a Bundesliga club whereas Cutrone was sold to a Serie B club. I think it's six of one, half a dozen of the other.

    Today’s Games 2025/26 Season

Hmmm, where have I seen that before? "He was far from our biggest problem, our CBs were torn apart and Sa was hopeless..."

    Stadium Plans

Just here to defend the North Bank because it has the only true corner seating in the house, which offers my favored view (and that applies to any sport played on a rectangle). Personally, as someone who only became a fan post-Stan Cullis rebuild, I don't feel it sticks out like a sore thumb...

    Today’s Games 2025/26 Season

Man City fans were snapped back into reality a bit last night, including this accurate assessment of a fatigued RAN: "Ait Nouri is running like someone who is carrying a bag of cement in his back." They should've seen him vs. Brighton. I'm not sure there's a player who is more obviously gassed...

    World Club Cup 2025

So I guess the honeymoon between Man City fans & RAN is just about over. I'm thrilled for Ruben, but I wish I got to watch him do that in the Champions League instead.

    Today’s Games 2025/26 Season

I'm already seeing folks on Twitter hyping RAN as the top LB in the world by the end of next season (as if Nuno Mendes, among others, doesn't exist). Never change, football fans......

    Season tickets renewals?

I don't quite understand the "season ticket or bust" fans who recoil at the thought of ever going to a single match for £50+ but can't decide whether or not to renew at ~£750-950 per ticket. Do they enjoy football matches, or do they just want an excuse to morning drink every other weekend? I...

    Semedo situation

The same site also gave him a score of 7.0 over the entire month of December '24, during which he played 5 matches, so that certainly refutes your "never a 7 for a single match" opinion. They rated him a 7.0+ 11 times last season. And I'd argue last season wasn't his best for Wolves, I thought...

    World Club Cup 2025

A 1-0 loss in a glorified friendly (see: PSG's starting lineup) against the reigning champions of Brazil seems like .... not a big deal. I didn't realize we're judging clubs entirely based on one negative result now.

    World Club Cup 2025

I'm sure there are fans in other football-loving countries who are into it, but it's fairly irrelevant to the discussion about public interest here or where it's actually being played. So far... Bayern Munich couldn't sell out a stadium that holds 26,000 Chelsea played in front of 22,000 w/...

Are people happy with how Jeff Shi is running the Club ?.

Sure, but I voted "Yes, but..." because I'm generally pleased enough with the status of the club with Shi at the helm while still certainly wanting better than these half seasons spent in the bottom three, desperation January signings and a fairly sizable portion of the fan base disgruntled. I...
