    Today’s Games 2023-2024

First time I've watched any second division games in full in ages and the standard was absolutely wretched in both matches. I'm sure it's not rose-tinted glasses to say that it used to be much better. Wind back 30 years to our play-off match vs Bolton... the game was so much better imo, and...

He can never get a good telephone reception in his bunker. He would have made the match but those season ticket price rises won't write themselves.

I'm sorry! Somebody mentioned the 1990s on the commentary thread and I regressed to a very dark place...

    Palarse Verdict

Freedman at least three yards offside, but naive to play an offside trap at such a moment. Pessimistic about the second leg now.

We got to a European quarter final and then Jeff Shi spent 12 months setting everything on fire with his egomania.

Good charging by Enso, just won us a lineout.

Nothing worked for us in the 1990s!

He's not much cop in all honesty. Can't pass a football, limited mobility and just grapples the opponent. The Bennett-Coady-Boly backline that we played in the Championship is far better than Santi-Kilman-Toti we've had in recent weeks.

Carthorse Kilman stood with his hand in the air again

Unbelievable how easily we concede when the opponent fancies stepping it up

Bentley really is woeful when the ball is in the air. He was in no man's land on that corner.

Yep, and this has been the problem for a long while. There doesn't seem any cohesive system where the players know that they have a fundamental job to do within the team and base their game around that. It just seems like defence... well try and defend, and midfield and attack run around and...

Bournemouth with Iraola and Palace with Glasner just show the level that the Premier League is at when it comes to coaches. GON isn't the right man for a club that wants to have a stable midtable run in this league. The standard of competition is just too high. He was bailed out for a good...

Lucky not to be 3 or 4 down already. Horrible football by us. Lemina just standing as a sweeper passing the ball back to palace at every opportunity. What does GON actually do on the training pitch all week with them? What is his plan for us to score a goal?

Wolves v Luton Town comms thread.

Better than midweek and could have scored at least one more (Hwang), but still not particularly impressive. Goal was deflected and a pretty soft effort from their backline. Luton are clearly Championship quality. They leave a lot of space in midfield and in front of their box to attack and are...
